The season is moving along as we enter Week 10 of the 2021 season, continuing our IDP Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em series. Here we cover details of positions that can be overlooked, as well as IDP positions. We are exactly halfway through the regular season. Week 10 halfway… seems a bit odd, but it is true. Week 9 was an interesting one, but the usual suspects are showing their face. No matter if you are sitting worst to first, week 10 is the focus and the details to your roster will determine the outcome.
As always, if you are struggling with a decision you can checkout our rankings for each Week. Or, if you want a more personal touch, reach out on social media. You can find us on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Or jump into our Discord server.
Start ‘Em
Arizona Cardinals v CAR
The Cardinals are hosting the Panthers who have been unable to produce offensively. The Cardinals defense has not received much credit for their amazing season, but the stats tell the story. 25 sacks, 17 turnovers, and only 147 points allowed. Only the Bills have allowed less, and the Cardinals have not had a bye. Play them.
Los Angeles Rams @SF
The L.A. Rams will be playing division rival S.F. 49ers, whom the Cardinals just feasted on. The Rams were embarrassed on Monday Night Football, and should get back on track against the 49ers. The Rams have playmakers across the board, and Jimmy G is a turnover factory, expect a few big plays.
Deeper leagues: Indianapolis Colts v JAX, Tennessee Titans v NO
Sit ‘Em
The Minnesota Vikings keep losing close games, primarily because their defense is horrific. The Chargers put up points and this game will likely be a shootout, do not start the Vikings.
Although the Chiefs have been a disaster on the offensive side of the ball, do not start he Las Vegas Raiders. Put them on the Pine and look for D/ST mentioned in the Plays.
Start ‘Em
Matt Prater v CAR
Prater could be busy. Although the Panthers have a horrible offense, their defense is in the top 10 in multiple categories. If Cardinal drives stall out, Prater could have a busy night. 3 or 4 field goals are well within reach.
Deeper leagues: Younghoe Koo @DAL, Jake Elliott @DEN
Sit ‘Em
Graham Gano (NYG) is on bye but putting together another excellent season. The Giants should be at full strength on offense and their offense has drove the ball. Pine Gano in deeper leagues and save him for the rest of the season.
Greg Zuerlein (DAL) has the ‘rona’ and likely will be out this week. Go grab another kicker so you do not have to wait and see if he will make it off the COVID list.
Start ‘Em
Javon Hargrave @DEN
Hargrave has been disappointing but don’t give up on him. He is going against an offensive line that has patched together, and should return to dominant form. Play him.
Cameron Jordan @TEN
Jordan has done the typical Cam start. Very slow start, gets dropped and turns it on mid-season. He has had a sack in three straight games, after not recording a sack in the first 5. He should get another against Tannehill and the Titans.
Deeper leagues: Everson Griffen @LAC, Gregory Rousseau @NYJ
Sit ‘Em
Montez Sweat (WAS) is doubtful, Kenny Clark (GB) was injured last week and did not re-enter the game, Cameron Heyward (PIT) is questionable and even if fully healthy may be on a snap count or out of the game if they are blowing out the Lions.
Start ‘Em
Deion Jones @DAL
Jones is playing against his former head coach. Jones wears the ‘green dot’ meaning him and Quinn have a bond that very few players have with their coaches. He will be playing motivated and the Cowboys will give several targets to the RBs/TEs, good for Jones.
Markus Golden v CAR
Golden has been a sack master through out his career. He is in peak form this season with 9 sacks and will likely add more against a backup QB. If he is available go snag him, and roster him the rest of season. He could make a push for season sack leader and has the Lions week 15!
Deeper Leagues: Leonard Floyd @SF, David Long v NO
Sit ‘Em
Jerome Baker (MIA) had a great week against the Texans. He is questionable and there are better options this week. Cory Littleton (LV) has put together some impressive weeks. Kansas City will look to exploit a weak secondary, limiting Littleton’s tackling opportunities.
Start ‘Em
Kevin Byard v NO
Byard will be coming to crush T. Hill on wildcat runs, and looking to pick off back up turned starter T. Seimen. Byard has 2 TDs and could garnish an All-Pro, the true leader of the Titans
Jeremy Chinn @ARI
Chinn has had a quiet but steady year. The Panthers could be on defense for 70% of the game, allowing Chinn to rack up the tackles and possibly create a turnover. Start him with confidence.
Deeper Leagues: Tyron Mathieu @LV, Jordan Fuller @SF
Sit ‘Em
Logan Ryan (NYG) is having an All-Pro caliber year. He is currently the 5th ranked DB and he should not be dropped. Pine him and have an elite DB the rest of the season.
Harrison Smith (MIN) is on the COVID list and and JC Jackson (NE) had an excellent, 2 interception game last week. Baker will not throw into close coverage limiting Jackson’s upside.
Well that’s it for our IDP Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em for Week 10 of the 2021 season. Remember, you can check out rankings for each Week. Reach out on social media, you can find us on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Or jump into our Discord server.
