The season is moving along as we enter Week 11 of the 2021 season, continuing our IDP Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em series. Lucky 11! This week has the potential to be loaded with points on both sides of the ball. There is film available, teams/players have tendencies, and you have 2nd or 3rd string players filling the void of injured starters. The remaining week’s weekly roster decisions will decide who moves onto the playoffs and who does not.
As always, if you are struggling with a decision you can checkout our rankings for each Week. Or, if you want a more personal touch, reach out on social media. You can find us on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Or jump into our Discord server.
Start ‘Em
Miami Dolphins @NYJ
Miami have won 2 in a row and should make it 3 against a poor Jets team. The Dolphins are 13th in the AFC and if the playoffs are still the goal, they will need to dominate the games they should win. The Dolphins Defense has put up eye-popping statistics the past two games; 9 sacks, 4 interceptions, 2 fumble recoveries, only 19 points scored against, with 576 yards allowed. Play them.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers v NYG
Tampa have been hit or miss and gave up 29 points to a bad Washington Football Team last week. They should rebound against the Giants at home. They have had a sack in every game, and a turnover in all but two games. Look for both against Danny ‘pesos’ and the awful Giants line.
Deeper leagues: Carolina Panthers v WAS, Tennessee Titans v HOU
Sit ‘Em
The Pittsburgh Steelers have been an excellent defense the last 3 weeks; 11 sacks, 2 turnovers, and only 47 total points allowed. They could be without their 2 best defensive players and are traveling across the country to play the high scoring Chargers. Pine them this week.
Avoid the Dallas Cowboys and Kansas City Chiefs D/ST as this could be the highest scoring game of the year. Reid and McCarthy going for it on every fourth, TD play call on 80% of snaps, you want no part of either of these defenses.
Start ‘Em
Robbie Gould @JAX
Gould is back, is golden, and available in most leagues. He should be picked up and put in your starting roster. He has a favorable match-up against the Jaguars and past his bye week. Play him this week and going forward.
Dustin Hopkins v PIT
Hopkins has been almost perfect the past two weeks. He has made all 4 of his field-goal attempts and 3 of 4 of his extra points. The Steelers defense could be without Watt and Fitzpatrick meaning more drives and opportunities for Hopkins to have points.
Deeper leagues: Matt Prater @SEA, Zane Gonzalez v WAS
Sit ‘Em
Chris Boswell (PIT) has been serviceable for most fantasy lineups. The Steelers could be in for a beat down, forced to go it for it on several 4th downs. Pine him this week. In deep leagues Brandon McManus is worth a pine on his bye, and hold for the rest of the season.
Start ‘Em
Trey Hendrickson @LV
Hendrickson has 8.5 sacks and should add one if not more against the Raiders. He is due for a big game, had a week to rest, and 2 weeks to game plan. Look for the sack specialist to dominate, Play him.
Denico Autry v HOU
Autry is available in almost all IDP formats. He has 3.5 sacks and the 4th most points for defensive linemen in the past month. He has a favorable match up against the Texans, and gets plenty of 1on1 opportunities with Simmons getting most of the attention. Play him.
Deeper leagues: Nick Bosa @JAX, Marcus Davenport @PHI
Sit ‘Em
Aaron Donald (LAR) is a must pine, do not release him. He has a way of turning it on late in the season and it looks like he will have to play well to bail their offense out. Jonathan Greenard (HOU) has been a great surprise so far this season but he has the questionable tag, get someone else in this week.
Start ‘Em
Anthony Walker v DET
Walker has had 8 or more tackles in the past 5 of 6 games. The Lions will give Swift a heavy load, meaning more tackling opportunities for Walker. Look for a potential season-high scoring mark from the savvy Vet.
Shaq Thompson v WAS
Thompson IS BAAAAAACCKKKK too, technically he has been for 3 weeks. During that span he has 27 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, 1 Interception, 1 sack, 3 passes defended, and double-digit fantasy points each week. Look for him to be the defensive leader in an emotional game.
Deeper Leagues: Eric Kendricks v GB, Josh Bynes @CHI
Sit ‘Em
Rashan Gary (GB) has been on an impressive run, and living up to his 1st round expectations. He hyper-extended his elbow last week and ‘hopes to play through the injury’ with a brace on. Pine him this week. Robert Quinn (CHI) has been the guy in the absence of K. Mack, but do not expect him to get to Lamar Jackson. He will be chipped and double-teamed, and will to get help from a spotty secondary either. Pine him
Start ‘Em
Xavien Howard @NYJ
The reigning 2020 INT leader is available in most leagues and playing against a 2nd or 3rd string QB this week. Howard has been involved with turnovers though QBs do not look his way. He should get a turnover a few tackles as the defense should dominate.
Xavier McKinney @TB
McKinney will be passed against often by Tom Brady. It’s feasible he could be on more than 10 targeted passes as Bradberry and Logan take away options 1 and 2 for the Bucs. Not only does McKinney have high tackle upside, he has 2 interceptions in the past month, due to the volume of passes. Pick him up and Play him.
Deeper Leagues: Micah Hyde v IND, Jimmie Ward @JAX
Sit ‘Em
Kareem Jackson (DEN) is on bye but leads the Broncos with 66 tackles through 10 games. Pine him and have a solid tackler in your lineup the rest of the season. Minkah Fitzpatrick (PIT) is on the COVID list and Budda Baker (ARI) did not practice and could miss this game to allow for 2 weeks of rest (Bye next week). Pine them also.
