Our Baltimore Ravens 2022 Fantasy Preview gives you the run down on the teams outlook going into the season. The Ravens yet again, bring back their coaching staff for another season. The Ravens offense has been great for years for fantasy, especially in the running game and there is little reason to think that will change.

Positional Previews
Notable Players- Lamar Jackson
Jackson is the ultimate dual-threat QB. Last season he didn’t reach the 1,000 yard mark, but the two seasons prior he met that target- something you’d want from your RB! That has always been the critism though, he is a running back who passes.
But, it’s well worth noting that he is making better passing plays and decisions which helps increase his ceiling. Losing Marquise Brown, his previous primary receiver, is a blow. But, the team seem to have Rashod Bateman ready to step up, as well as Mark Andrews looking back to his best. Jackson remains a solid QB1, with good upside.
Notable Players- J.K. Dobbins, Gus Edwards & Mike Davis
Dobbins missed his second season in the NFL due to suffering a knee injury that forced him to miss the whole season. Prior to that, he impressed at times in his 2020 season, showing some good signs for the future. Given the team haven’t added a long-term option, and seeing some videos from camp, Dobbins is ready to step up this season. At worst he is an RB2. If he is given a strong workload, he is an RB1, especially given his receiving skills.
Edwards missed the 2021 season, and the team still decided to extend him an offer to keep him. Davis was then brought in during free agency. That just seems murky. Edwards and Davis are going to operate as spell backs, and are most likely going to just frustrate fantasy owners. They are unlikely to have stand-alone value, unless Dobbins were to miss time. Of the two, I’d likely lean towards Davis as he has been able to stay healthy and has been used in the passing game more. But truly, I’d probably avoid both.
Notable Players- Rashod Bateman, Devin Duvernay & James Proche
The receiving group lost their alpha receiver, Marquise Brown, after trading him away in the offseason. The group overall isn’t the strongest, but with how the offense works, it doesn’t need to be.
Rashod Bateman should lead the group in targets, and showed his ability last season once he got going. Now the primary target, he should be able to step up and have some solid fantasy value. For me, he is a borderline WR2/3.
Now, to the others in this group. I’m not sure in normal season-long leagues if I want either of them. Best ball? Sure, I’ll take some shots, but the issue is that these guys are going to go missing during the season and then have boom games. Leave them on waivers unless they put together a streak of performances.
Notable Players- Mark Andrews
Andrews had a great season last year, posting his first 1,000 yard season (actually 1,361 yards), and scoring nine times. There isn’t alot of receiving talent on this roster, so Andrews should be able to maintain a strong target share. Andrews is a top tier TE, who could finish top at the position.
The team also don’t need Andrews to commit to blocking, with Nick Boyle being brought back for those duties again.
