Our New York Giants 2022 Fantasy Preview gives you the run down on the teams outlook going into the season. The Giants really just tore it up and started again this offseason. The team brought in the ex-Bills OC Brian Daboll as their new HC, and a new OC and DC. That, as well as changes in the front office, gives the team a different feel.
There is no denying that the organisation needed some changes, with the team having some talented players on the roster. Now, it’s a case of can the team turn their fortunes around? If they can, then there is a massive potential to have some fantasy values.

Positional Previews
Notable Players- Daniel Jones
This is the season where Jones has to put it together. The team have invested in the offensive line, added offensive talent, and brought in another coach. The mix of coach and QB will be interesting to watch unfold.
When you think of Daniel Jones, you don’t really think about is his rushing ability. I get it, he didn’t have a good time at the draft, and when he does run he looks lost and confused. But, when he has been at his best for fantasy, and in real-life, it’s been when he has used his feet.
If he is able to do that, along with getting on the same page as his weapons, Kenny Golladay, Kadarius Toney, Sterling Shepard and of course Saquon Barkley, then that’s a great fantasy asset. I lean more towards Jones improving, but finishing as a QB2, with some big weeks and some duds.
Notable Players- Saquon Barkley & Matt Breida
Barkley has really had a fall from fantasy grace. Since being a locked on RB1, he struggled in a bad offense, behind a poor offensive line, and with injury.
Now, the injuries shouldn’t really cause him any major issues moving forward. Well at least, you shouldn’t be overly concerned with them.
There is no denying that Barkley is still the same talent as he had been in previous seasons, he just hasn’t been able to show it as often as he did early in his career. The thing is, with where he is being drafted now, you don’t need him to be.
He is being drafted at his floor, and could turn up to be a league winner if this offense improves just a little. His ability in the receiving game as well, just helps him solidify his role as a value selection.
Matt Breida on the offense doesn’t have fantasy value unless Barkley was forced to miss time.
Notable Players- Kenny Golladay, Kadarius Toney, Sterling Shepard, Wan’dale Robinson & Darius Slayton
Golladay didn’t have the best of seasons last year. Ok, infact it was pretty terrible. But there were reasons. Golladay suffered multiple injuries, and by the time he returned he had Mike Glennon and Jake Fromm throwing him the ball.
Now, am I saying that Golladay is going to fly up in fantasy ranks? No. What I’m saying is that he is a talented receiver, entering his second year on the team with a new coach. You can pick him up in the early double-digit rounds, which at that point he can only exceed his draft position.
Toney is the wildcard in the receiving group. His range of outcomes is incredibly wide- I mean with the trade rumours, he might not even be on this roster! Toney is an explosive receiver that is able to finish nearly any pass and make a big play. I’ll select him where he is and see if the offense clicks, if it does then you’ve got a
Outside of those two, you’ve got a trio of receivers that are fighting to get on the field. Shepard suffered a serious injury towards the end of the season which could keep him out from opening the season. At a minimum, he won’t be 100%.
That fact is emphasised by the team bringing in Robinson during the draft. Robinson could have some value in PPR leagues, as he is likely to occupy the slot position in the offense. Slayton feels like the guy that can be forgotten in the offense for fantasy. The competition for targets in the offense is going to be difficult, and with the investments in the other players Slayton feels like the odd man out.
Notable Players- Ricky Seals-Jones
Ricky Seals-Jones hasn’t got a long history of fantasy relevance, but he has had flashes during his career. I’m not really going to be considering him at all for drafts, but he is worth keeping an eye on as a streaming option for the season.
