2022 Super Bowl Props

The end is neigh, and as a special treat we have some props for the 2022 Super Bowl. The long-awaited day is back and no I am not talking about my re-emergence writing for this fabulous website. I am talking about the Super Bowl and a lot of us have scoured our books for the best props for two weeks straight. For those of you that haven’t, I’m your guy. I will give you every single prop I like in this year’s Super Bowl, and going off last year’s success in this article, you are going to want to write a couple of these down.

When it comes to Super Bowl betting, I like to come up with a script in my head that is the most likely outcome. You may disagree with some of my props. Simply because they may not fit how you see this game playing out and that is fine. However, there is a little something here for everyone.

QB Props

Kicking it off with some Mahomes props is never a bad way to start. Sure, Jalen Hurts I am sure will be fine this game. I just don’t love the uncertainty here with him in this game. I think he may rush a decent amount in this game if need be, but I could see him saving that for the 2nd half if they really need to put some drives together. Since his injury, the deep ball hasn’t been too successful. I am just not sure what we will get on a play-for-play basis.

As for Mahomes, I trust him in this spot vs the tough Eagles defense. The Chiefs throw at one of the highest rates in the NFL when they are down and when they are winning. That sounds like a recipe for success to me. I expect Mahomes to throw the ball early and often underneath and quick. The Eagles have been very good vs the deep ball however about league average when the depth of target was within 1-9 air yards. Sign me up for some Mahomes props.

Mahomes o25.5 Completions -116

Mahomes o39.5 att -102

Hurts INT Yes +105

RB Props

Running backs should take an interesting role in this game and I wouldn’t be mad at playing Miles Sanders in some ways here however I couldn’t find an angle I was super confident on his carries were one too high for me and his yards were tempting but I couldn’t pull the trigger. Here are a couple I came up with.

Pacheco o16.5 yds rec -110

Pacheco o12.5 longest rush 13.5 -110

Gainwell o4.5 rush att -122

Like I said in the QB props section I expect the Chiefs to use the short and quick passing game in this game and I think Pacheco is a direct beneficiary of this strategy with the Chiefs. I expect McKinnon to be involved as well but I like how Pacheco looked in the AFC Championship game. As for Gainwell, he has done well in the playoffs hopefully we will see some Playoff Gainy shirts soon… kidding that said I do think he will have a role and I do believe that he will bring a change of pace and get a couple drives early in this game.

WR/TE Props

So many interesting and intriguing plays in this bunch from the 13 personnel matchup to the Chiefs press coverage. Will try to keep it simple here and I have some contrarian plays in this group as well.

MVS o36.5 yds rec -110

Goedert o49.5 yds rec -110

Noah Grey o12.5 rec yds -110

I know most probably dislike MVS here but I like him Juju has been less than stellar and Mahomes has to like what he saw out of MVS in a big spot in the AFC Championship game I think MVS finishes with 3-4 catches for close to 50 yds in this one. Might even sneak in a TD. I couldn’t find Jody Fortson yds anywhere and that is okay I will take Noah Grey who is going to be a part of the 13 personnel packages that everyone is talking about.

I could see him getting a big gain over the middle in an Eagles zone where they lose him 25+ yds is not out of the question and a nice zag if your feeling lucky at +235. Last but not least it is the tried-and-true Dallas Goedert I just believe he is the safest of all Eagles targets in this game sure A.J could have a good game as well as Smith but I like Goedert just feels right vs these KC LBs I could see him having a big game as a safety valve if things get messy for Hurts.

OTHERS

Points scored in 1st 6min Yes +113

I expect the Eagles and the Chiefs to come out flying in this one as the Chiefs will want to get the Eagles down early. The Eagles all season long have been proficient in scoring early. We all love cheering for points right?

o5.5 Sacks +118

The Eagles have been monsters all year pressuring the QB they are good for a few here in this game I believe and on the other side of the ball, I do expect Chris Jones and the Chiefs defense to cause some havoc in Steve Spagnuolo’s scheme.

Harrison Butker o7.5 pts -116

Chiefs have not fared well in the Red Zone all year and I could see Butker having to kick a couple FG’s here. I also expect the game to be more high scoring than we think so should have 2 or 3 extra points as well.

High Risk and Touchdown Props

Noah Grey First TD +5000

Anytime 1st Half TD Kelce +220

Boston Scott Anytime TD +500

AJ Brown 2nd half TD  +290

I think that will wrap it up for me there should be enough in here for everyone. I like the Chiefs to win a close one by less than 7 pts but who knows sit back and enjoy the game with a couple bets and remember to bet responsibly.
