Well we are (nearly) done with another week of 2022 action, so time to finetune your roster with our Week 11 Waiver Wire pickups. Making the right moves on the waiver wire is how you can really win your league. Getting those upside depth pieces, and cutting the players that are going to struggle from your roster is going to help you going forwards
Bye Weeks
We now have to start dealing with bye weeks too. Because when your roster is already struggling with injury, why not?
Teams on bye this week:
- Jacksonville Jaguars
- Miami Dolphins
- Seattle Seahawks
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Rules for Selection & Order Priority
For a player to be considered to be added, they have to:
- Have an rostered % of 50% or under on ESPN
- Players below are listed by their roster %, not priority. Know your league settings. If there is a high-priority add, you’ll know.
Jimmy Garoppolo (SF) @ARI 39.5% rostered
Jimmy G didn’t manage to throw a TD against the Chargers, but still managed to get the ball out for 240 yards. What saved his fantasy week was sneaking into the endzone for a TD. This week, he faces an improving Cardinals defense, but one that you can still pass on. The 49ers offense has been rolling nicely through the air, making him a solid streaming option.
Marcus Mariota (ATL) v CHI 37.6% rostered
Mariota has long been a love-hate relationship. When he was with the Titans I constantly added/ removed him, and that’s followed with his time with Atlanta. He has a decent rushing floor week to week, and has some decent receiving options too which help with his ceiling. Chicago isn’t the easiest team to go against for QBs, but they have struggled against RBs which should mean Mariota has some nice rushing upside.
Davis Mills (HOU) v WAS 2.6% rostered
Mills is a low-level streaming option for this week. The Texans offense with Brandin Cooks back is a half decent unit (Cooks had a TD catch pulled bag for a penalty). The Washington secondary isn’t great, infact they have allowed just over 17 points on average to the position this season. If you are in real need, Mills is likely available for you.
Others to Consider
- Matt Ryan (IND) v PHI 6.8% rostered
Brian Robinson (WAS) @HOU 49.7% rostered
Well, after getting to the Eagles on the ground for an unexpected win, that is the plan for this week too surely. The Texans aren’t a great defense for RBs, infact they are the worst in the league by a bit of a way. As the back given the majority of the carries in the offense, Robinson is a great play if available in your league.
Kenyan Drake/ Gus Edwards (BAL) v CAR 46.3/ 34.1% rostered
The Ravens backfield has long been valuable for fantasy. This week especially, they are set to play the Panthers who have struggled to stop RBs running all over them. Ahead of the bye week, Edwards was sat with an injury, but has had a week to recover. Of the two, I’d opt for Edwards- he certainly seems to be the coaches preference.
Rachaad White (TB) BYE 24.3% rostered
Last week, I recommended picking up White, and I really hope you did. He really stepped up in Germany for the offense when Leonard Fournette struggled with a knock. That kind of spotlight big game is going to thrust him into the thinking of fantasy players. Even with a bye week, you should pick him up now.
Isiah Pacheco (KC) @LAC 23.2% rostered
Pacheco led the backfield last week, continuing his hot/ cold form for the season. There is no doubting that the Chiefs offense is a strong unit, the issue is unpicking the backfield. Well, if you need a streaming option he could fit the mould. The Chargers just can’t stop anyone running on them, and Pacheco nearly leads this backfield in carries (60 carries to Clyde Edwards-Helaires’ 69).
Others to Consider
- Cam Akers (LAR) @NO 48.6% rostered
- Jerick McKinnon (KC) @LAC 18.2% rostered
- Kyren Williams (LAR) @NO 15.3% rostered
- Jaylen Warren (PIT) v CIN 11.5% rostered
Michael Gallup (DAL) @MIN 40.8% rostered
Gallup didn’t have a great box score against the Packers last week, so he could continue being a little under the radar. The Cowboys offense is fine to air it out, and Gallup managed 7 targets in the offense. Next up for the Cowboys are the Vikings secondary that has struggled all season to limit production through the air.
Devin Duvernay (BAL) v CAR 40.3% rostered
The Ravens offense isn’t one to air the ball out that often. At least, not to anyone not named Mark Andrews. The thing is, with Rashod Bateman now on season-ending IR with a foot injury, Duvernay is the next man up in the offense. In deep leagues, he is worth a shot as a boom-or-bust option.
Van Jefferson/ Ben Skowronek (LAR) @NO 6.7% rostered
I’m sure you know, or saw, but Cooper Kupp didn’t manage to finish the game due to injury. What does that mean? It’s going to be next man up for the Rams receivers. As a result, we will see one of these two step up into a larger role. Jefferson caught a TD last week, and has been on the field more often when available so would be my preference, but it’d take a risk on Skowronek.
Nico Collins (HOU) v WAS 6.7% rostered
Collins has really stepped up in the offense as a receiver, with a great target share, and production to match. The Texans offense isn’t a strong unit with alot of playmakers, which means Collins should continue to be effective for fantasy against this Washington secondary.
Christian Watson (GB) v TEN 5.8% rostered
Watson is going to be the hot add for this week. I mean, catching 4 passes for 107 yards and 3 TDs will do that. The Packers receiving group needs playmakers, and Watson’s speed makes him a constant threat. With Romeo Doubs out for the next few weeks, Watson has a good opportunity to build on his performance against this poor Titans secondary.
Others to Consider
- Parris Campbell (IND) v PHI 23.0% rostered
- Donovan Peoples-Jones (CLE) @BUF 21.9% rostered
- Terrace Marshall (CAR) @BAL 20.6% rostered
- Darius Slayton (NYG) v DET 4.6% rostered
Cole Kmet (CHI) @ATL 38.8% rostered
The Bears offense isn’t actually bad? After starting out the season just looking like awful, but seem to have found success recently. The plan is to just let Justin Fields do what he wants, and then get downfield incase that’s to launch it downfield.
Tyler Conklin (NYJ) @NE 23.7% rostered
The Jets offense has gone through change this season, at QB, then the backfield was up-ended. With injuries to receivers now thrown in, it’s a hard ask for the Jets against this tough Patriots unit. But, you can attack them at the TE position, which makes Conklin an interesting play this week.
Foster Moreau (LV) @DEN 12.3% rostered
Moreau has pushed himself into consideration week to week with Darren Waller’s injury forcing him to IR. There’s no doubt that Davante Adams is the leading receiver for the team, but with Hunter Renfrow on IR too, they are in need of receivers. Denver’s defense has been strong, but has struggled against TEs at times
Others to Consider
- Hayden Hurst (CIN) @PIT 46.7% rostered
- Juwan Johnson (NO) v LAR 8.2% rostered
Cincinnati Bengals @PIT 35.5% rostered
The Steelers offense is still spluttering, and the Bengals are coming off of their bye week. These teams played each other in Week 1, but the defense really looked rusty and matched up against a different QB. I’d expect the Bengals to be able to have a strong performance in this one.
Kansas City Chiefs @LAC 23.9% rostered
The Chiefs defense has playmakers at each level, especially up front where they have managed to constantly put offensive lines under pressure. The two teams met in Week 2, but this Chargers offense has taken a step back since then, just with the injuries that it has had.
Others to consider
- Arizona Cardinals v SF 38.2% rostered
- Washington @HOU 17.5% rostered
