Welcome to Week 12 of the 2022 season IDP Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em series. Week 11 Play or Pine was ACE! Let’s follow it up with another great performance. Per usual make sure your players on bye this week are out of the starting lineups!
As always, if you are struggling with a decision you can checkout our rankings for each Week. Or, if you want a more personal touch, reach out on social media. You can find us on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Or jump into our Discord server.
Start ‘Em
Matthew Judon @MIN
Judon is being overlooked. He is quietly having a season worthy of Defensive Player of the Year. He is playing in the late game slot against the Minnesota Vikings. Kirk Cousins has lost the most losses in Primetime since becoming a starter, 16. Parsons and Armstrong had a field day against the Vikings offensive line, expect the same from Judon who is the current sack leader. He is our stream of the week.
Von Miller @DET
Miller has been quiet lately, but no one steps up in big time games the way Von does. Look for him to take advantage of Jared Goff’s tendency to hold on to the football. Miller should get to Goff at least once, and possibly earn himself a turkey leg. Play him.
Carl Lawson v CHI
Lawson is having a modest outputting. He seems 100% recovered from his awful injury last year. The Jets are in need of some energy and Lawson could sack Fields or the back up. Either way the offensive line of the Bears is the worst in the NFL and Lawson should take advantage. He’s likely on the waivers. Pick him up and play him.
Sit ‘Em
Za’Darius Smith v NE
Smith is injured and attempted to play through it last week. He earned less than a point. He is an oft injured player and he should be looked at with caution. With all teams playing this week, look elsewhere for your DL needs.
Jonathan Allen v ATL
Allen was a top 10 IDP scorer last week. Do not expect the same results against a much more mobile Marcus Mariota. The Commanders are playing great and have a good chance against the Falcons, but Allen should be Pined.
Start ‘Em
Frankie Luvu v DEN
Luvu has been playing extremely well. Even with the return of teammate, J. Chinn, he is stepping up and making the plays. The Panthers host the Broncos this week and neither has a great offense. This should allow for plenty of snaps for the Panthers defense. Expect a high volume tackle game.
Leighton Vander Esch v NYG
Vander Esch has not recorded 10 tackles in over a month. That could change on Thanksgiving day. The Cowboys host their bitter rival, the New York Giants. This game could have a great impact on playoff seeding. Barkley and Breida should see plenty of volume, which benefits LVE. Play him.
Denzel Perryman @SEA
Perryman is back from his hip injury. He managed a respectable line of 6 tackles in week 11. He also played 71 snaps. If he continues this pace he will be in line for more tackles against the Seahawks who run often. Walker III is carrying the Seahawks and could earn rookie of the year if he keeps it up. Perryman should be there to meet him in the gaps. Play him
Sit ‘Em
Devin Lloyd v BAL
Lloyd has had an excellent rookie season. He is coming off his first bye week as a professional, and could be in line for hitting the ‘rookie wall’ that so many IDPs and RBs do. Even if he is in great shape mentally and physically it will be difficult to bring down Lamar or predict the Ravens offense. Pine him.
Malcolm Rodriguez v BUF
Rodriguez has been on both the Play and the Pine columns this season. He is a well known name and he has weeks of production, but his snap count has gone down the past 2 games. He has only earned 4 tackles and less than 6 points in each. Pine him.
Start ‘Em
Talanoa Hufanga v NO
Hufanga has had a bit of regression in the past few weeks, but don’t let that stop you from playing him against the Saints. Dalton has had several turnovers this year and Hufanga has a nose for the ball. On top of that the Saints run several deep routes which allow for Hufanga to make tackles.
Jordan Poyer v CLE
Poyer is back and making plays in the secondary. He managed just 5 tackles last week, but there should be more opportunities for a big play on Thanksgiving. Even on a short week, play him if you have him.
Marlon Humphrey @JAX
Humphrey could be dependent on the big play, but he has been delivering. He is up against the Jaguars this week and the Ravens defense is playing outstanding. This could be another low-scoring week so expect Humphrey to make the few big plays but he needs pairing with a few tackles. Play him.
Sit ‘Em
Minkah Fitzpatrick @IND
Fitzpatrick returned to action last week… well sort of. He played in almost all, if not all snaps, but he did not look himself. In what was a close game, Minkah was not aggressive in tackling or pressing. He was near the ball but never getting into the tackling. Pine him until proven he’s health.
Jeff Okudah v BUF
Both could be dropped this week because of bye. If in a deeper league they are worth an add.
