Ahead of our slate breakers article, I thought I’d write up some of my favorite DraftKings stacks for Week 15 of the 2022 season. There are a few articles you can find on why stacking is effective for DFS, so we won’t recap that here.
Instead, I’ll outline the criteria for being included:
- Main slate only
- Stack will include QB & 2 other players (optional bring back noted)
Stack 1 - Jacksonville Jaguars (v DAL)
O/U 47.5
Spread JAX -5.0 (JAX implied 21 Pts)
QB Trevor Lawrence ($6,700)
WR Christian Kirk ($6,600)/ Zay Jones ($4,900)
TE Evan Engram ($3,800)
Total $16,400/ $14,700
Optional bring-back Ezekiel Elliott (DAL) +$6,200
Jacksonville’s aerial attack has been working recently, with Lawrence looking more and more comfortable in the pocket. Dallas are going to be hurting after struggling to a win against Houston last time out. At receiver, it’s hard to discount Kirk. Yes he struggled last time out, but he is still getting a decent target share and has been (on the whole) performing well. If you want some savings, then you can go for the boom/ bust of Jones. Engram is going to be a popular TE option after blowing up last week, but his target share gives him a decent floor for the position.
The bring back of Elliott is based on the fact he is still getting decent volume in this offense, especially at the goal-line and offers a chunk of saving compared to Tony Pollard.
Stack 2 - New Orleans (v ATL)
O/U 43.0
Spread ATL -4.5 (NO implied 24 Pts)
QB Andy Dalton ($5,200)
RB Alvin Kamara ($6,800)
WR Chris Olave ($6,500)
Total $18,500
Optional bring-back Cordarrelle Patterson (ATL) +$5,900
I feel like this has to be a week that the Saints perform. The Falcons are set to play rookie Desmond Ridder, so should mean quite a few short fields with the strength of the Saints defensive line. That should mean that Kamara will have a good shot to have one of his multiple score games. If not, have plenty of touches. The Saints are likely to need to air the ball out at some stage though, and if they do Olave is the primary target. He should be able to eat against this poor Falcons secondary, and the price is nice for the potential ceiling.
The Falcons success is going through their ground game. Patterson should therefore get a good amount of work on the ground, and a decent number of targets too. You never know, he might return a kickoff too. At the price a nice bring-back.
Stack 3 - Los Angeles Chargers (v TEN)
O/U 46
Spread LAC -3.0 (LAC implied 25 Pts)
QB Justin Herbert ($7,200)
WR Keenan Allen ($6,800)
WR Mike Williams ($6,300)
Total $20,300
Optional bring-back Treylon Burks (TEN) +$4,600
The Chargers offense is all about airing it out, with and average of 48 pass attempts the last three weeks. With both of the team’s star receivers back to health, this offense should continue to roll. Allen has walked back into a massive target share, with 43 in the last three games. With DK’s PPR scoring, that’s a really nice floor with a decent ceiling too. Williams looked to be back to himself after returning from injury too, with 6 catches for 116 yards and a TD.
I’d love to be able to put Derrick Henry in as the Titans option, but that feels very restrictive. I have made one lineup with him with these three, but not sure how much I like it at the moment. So, I’ll go for Burks who could clear concussion protocol ahead of this game.
