Welcome to Week 15 of the 2022 season IDP Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em series. Week 14 was an amazing success. It led several to the dance, but everything prior is all for not without a victory in week 15. Trust your players that carried you to the playoffs, but if you need some help here are a few IDPs to think about.
As always, if you are struggling with a decision you can checkout our rankings for each Week. Or, if you want a more personal touch, reach out on social media. You can find us on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Or jump into our Discord server.
The truth is I am hesitant to tell anyone to pine anyone this week. Although this is a sit column it is difficult to project a starter to sit in such a crucial week. Play the players that got you to the playoffs. There will be one player per position that has the potential for a bad game for the playoffs.
Start ‘Em
Preston Smith v LAR
Smith has not produced at the level the IDP community hoped he would. However he’s healthy and coming off of a bye. He could get a sack against Baker Mayfield which should boost anyone’s score. Play him.
Josh Allen v DAL
Allen has let us down in a previous play this season. He has a chance at redemption as the Cowboys shift their offensive line around after losing their starting right tackle. This should allow for Allen to have multiple sack opportunities. He earned 1 sack and 3 tackles last week, he could equal that output this week.
Josh Uche @LV
Uche had a monster week last week and could have been grabbed. If he’s available he has a favorable match up against the Raiders. He has added a sack in every game over last three games, totaling six. Grab him if you need DL help.
Sit ‘Em
Khalil Mack v TEN
Mack is ranked high due to his amazing week one performance with a few dotted games with sacks. He has a combined 9 tackles in his last four games, and has been held without a sack for just as long. Look elsewhere as his floor is too low in a must-win game.
Start ‘Em
DeMario Davis v ATL
The vet was on bye week and playing against a division rival, the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons are rolling out a rookie QB, which should tilt to a heavy run game. Davis can make the tackles and possibly have an interception. Play him.
Quay Walker v LAR
He was mentioned as someone to grab while on the bye week. He will be targeted against in the pass game, and could see a heavy dose of Akers. A 10 tackle game is well within reach. Snag and play him.
Jack Sanborn v PHI
Jack was on the play column a few weeks ago and is playing like a pro bowler. If someone dropped him due to his bye week or perhaps he went unnoticed in ten or twelve team leagues, grab him and play him.
Sit ‘Em
Ernest Jones @GB
Jones has been steady in his second year, and his lowest point production came on a 5 tackle game. He has been plug and play, but he has a questionable tag and going to the frozen tundra of Lambeau. Green Bay runs the play clock to under three seconds on most snaps, limiting opposing IDP opportunities. Pine him as tough as it is.
Start ‘Em
Patrick Peterson v IND
Peterson could have an amazing game against the Colts. The Colts will attack this poor passing defense which should allow for Peterson to stack tackles with the upside of an interception and passes defended. Grab him and play him.
Kamren Curl v NYG
Curl has been on a roll lately with 7 or more tackles in his last three games, including twelve against the Giants, whom Curl will play as back to back opponents. He is a tackling machine and he will rise up the occasion with the playoffs on the line.
Jordan Whitehead v DET
Whitehead has 20 tackles in his last 3 games. Against a pass happy Minnesota he had 11 tackles. With Detroit coming to town a 10 tackle or forced turnover in a cold wet game is within reach.
Sit ‘Em
Derwin James v TEN
James is no doubt an IDP stud, but has been hurt and did not practice Thursday. His availability is up in the air. Putting James in the starting line up is a big risk even if he does play. Look elsewhere and pine what was likely a high draft pick.
Thank you for reading, remember to trust yourself as you are responsible for your team. Losing week 15 is one of the worst feelings, and winning is more of a relief than joy. Best of luck, let’s keep going because ‘when the going get tough… the tough get going.’
