Week 14 is in the books, so we turn our attention to Week 15, and our Week IDP waiver wire pickups for the 2022 season. The truth is, if you are in the playoffs you likely have a great roster through and through. Although half the rosters are locked in the consolation, there are some players worth an add. Let’s take a look now. These waivers are based off of a 16-team, 6 IDP requirement.
DeForest Buckner (IND) @MIN
He had a bye week and the Colts are playing the Vikings, who are not looking their best. There is a good chance Buckner was released or on waivers, he can earn a sack this week, and he should have tackles up the middle. Pick him up.
Grady Jarrett (ATL) @NO
Jarrett is having an excellent year although it’s going unrecognized. He is coming off a bye week and up against division rival, the Saints. The first meeting he had 6.5 tackles and 1.5 sacks. Look for him to add to both totals this week.
Dre’Mont Jones (DEN) @ARI
Jones is a deep dive pick. He recorded a sack and had 5 tackles last week, and can achieve this or better this week. The Cardinals line was atrocious last week and will be just as bad against a good Broncos Defense. Jones could have a season high game.
Quay WaIker (GB) v LAR
He was dropped in several leagues due to a six team bye week. He should be sought after, and in FAAB leagues, spend big. He has an opportunity to shine as the top rookie LB of his class. Green Bay will play him the entire season. Get him.
Leighton Vander Esch (DAL) @JAX
The former first round pick is having his healthiest, and consequently his best NFL season. He is 10 tackles away from 100, and playing the Jaguars who could run often. LVE looks quick and is flying to the football. Snag him for a great playoff run.
Jaylon Smith (NYG) @WAS
Deep dive pick, but Smith is playing at the level he was four years ago. He has 29 tackles over the last four games with great snap percentage. The rivalry is real against the Commanders who they played a mere 2 weeks ago, he should be familiar with their gameplan. Expect a high tackle game.
Vonn Bell (CIN) @TB
He is a leader of the defense, and they are playing for a divisional title. He is averaging 6 tackles over the past four games, with half a sack too. He has a knack for the big play and could get an interception against Tom Brady and the Bucs.
Richie Grant (ATL) @NO
Grant is having a pro bowl caliber year, although it is not recognized. The Falcons starting QB, Ridder is starting his first game. It could allow for more defensive snaps or a jolt of energy. Grab Grant.
Marcus Jones (NE) @LV
Making back to back appearances is Marcus. This week he is the deep dive option, because he is still sitting on most waivers. He is being utilized more, and has displayed his ability to make big plays. Although he is a deep dive, his potential makes him a must grab. Use him for a playoff push.
