Week 15 is in the books, so we turn our attention to Week 16, and our Week IDP waiver wire pickups for the 2022 season. The truth is, if you are in the playoffs you likely have a great roster through and through. Although half the rosters are locked in the consolation, there are some players worth an add. Let’s take a look now. These waivers are based off of a 16-team, 6 IDP requirement.
JJ Watt (ARI) v TB
He went off for 3 sacks last week, and will likely be sought after. His remaining schedule includes two awful offensive lines. Tampa Bay at home, and Atlanta on the road (San Fransisco in week 18). He could easily have 2 sacks in each game. Grab the vet and let him take you to a championship.
Frank Clark (KC) v SEA
If you are in a deep IDP league and need a DL, take a look at Clark. He is having a good year, despite the lack of recognition. He has two games at home against bad offensive lines. This week the Seattle and next week the Broncos. Snag him for a low FAAB cost.
Nicholas Morrow (CHI) v BUF
Morrow is poised to have high tackle volume games with the loss of Sanborn. He will likely be on every defensive snap and has the potential to reach tackle bonus points. If he is available, he is worth a large percentage of your remaining budget.
Jaylon Smith (NYG) @MIN
Smith has played himself into a foundational piece of the Giants defense. Coordinator Wink Martindale is maximizing Smith’s potential. He has had 5 or more tackles in seven straight games, with 9 or more in three of the past four weeks. Even if you are low or out of FAAB, he is available.
Marcus Williams (BAL) v ATL
He returned from an injury two weeks ago and has played 54 and 64 snaps in each game. He has tackles, passes defended, and an interception in those two weeks. He is available in most leagues, and has a favorable schedule with two games at home against Atlanta and Pittsburgh. He could be playoff add that delivers you to a championship.
Rayshawn Jenkins (JAX) @NYJ
Jenkins has been mentioned in our Play or Pine column multiple times. He was the leading IDP point scorer in Week 15 and will come at a cost. However, he is worth it as the Jaguars look like a team peaking at the right time. The Jags play the Jets and the Texans. Both of whom have QBs that turnover the ball often. The big play potential is there for Jenkins.
There you have it! Our Week 16 IDP Waiver Wire pickups for 2022. It is a brutal week, and they only become more brutal from here forward. There are so many teams needing a win to get in, you can feel the tension. Good decision making is paramount. Make smart decisions.
