2022 Week 6 DraftKings Stacks

Ahead of our slate breakers article, I thought I’d write up some of my favorite DraftKings stacks for the Week 6 of the 2022 season. There are a few articles you can find on why stacking is effective for DFS, so we won’t recap that here.

Instead, I’ll outline the criteria for being included:

  • Main slate only
  • Stack will include QB & 2 other players (optional bring back noted)
  • High game total

This slate is the first that has bye weeks, so there are fewer games- especially high scoring ones. There are only 2 O/Us that are over 50 points

Stack 1 - Arizona Cardinals (@SEA)

O/U 51

Spread ARI -2.5 (ARI implied 27 Pts)

QB Kyler Murray ($7,300)
WR Marquise Brown ($7,200)
TE Zach Ertz ($4,900)

Total $19,400

Optional bring-back Tyler Lockett (SEA) +$5,600

The Cardinals offense has been able to move the ball effectively this season, and now come up against the Seahawks defense. With James Conner featuring on the injury report, it’s likely we see the team being forced to air it out against the Seahawks secondary. Murray is in-play with his dual-threat ability (he just doesn’t stop running!). Brown is the primary receiver and should see plenty of targets. The play of Ertz is almost automatic, and I’m fine playing him as a standalone piece. The Seahawks have really struggled to stop TEs being productive against them, and Ertz is an important piece of the offense.

Stack 2 - Buffalo Bills (@KC)

O/U 54

Spread BUF -2.5 (BUF implied 28 Pts)

QB Josh Allen ($8,200)
WR Stefon Diggs ($8,400)/ Gabriel Davis ($6,500)
WR Isaiah McKenzie ($5,000)

Total $21,600/ $19,700

Optional bring-back Juju Smith-Schuster (KC) +$5,200

The Bills offense is cooking. It seems like they can just impose their will on secondaries with the arm of Josh Allen and his receivers. In the highest total this week, I’m happy to go back to him. The real question is who of his receivers are worth adding. Truly, I’d like to have both Diggs and Gabriel Davis, but then you are massively hurting yourself on the slate. Of the two, I’d opt to pay up for Diggs who has over a quarter of the targets in the offense. Either way I’m going with McKenzie who has worked his way into the starting rotation, and is back training after being out with concussion.

Stack 3 - Kansas City Chiefs (v BUF)

O/U 54

Spread BUF +2.5 (KC implied 26 Pts)

QB Patrick Mahomes ($8,000)
WR Juju Smith-Schuster ($5,200)
TE Travis Kelce ($7,800)

Total $21,000

Optional bring-back Gabriel Davis (BUF) +$6,500

The Chiefs offense is always in play when it’s on the slate. When they face the Bills offense and have to put up points too? Yep! Patrick Mahomes has been picking up the pace in recent games, and flirted with the 300 yard bonus last time out against the Raiders. Mahomes has played the Bills twice, and averages 249 yards for 2 TDs and 1 INT. You can definitely pass against this secondary- Kenny Pickett managed to throw 327 yards last time out. I’m also looking to pick up the two favoured targets of Mahomes in this stack. I’ll have a few lineups with Marquez Valdes-Scantling ($4,500) to balance out his big-play potential.

To try and save a bit of salary in the bring-back I’ll opt for Davis over Diggs. Both should be able to have a good game in this one.
