Welcome to Week 11 of the 2023 season IDP Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em series. For those new to the article, know that Play or Pine will cover IDPs which might seem like an obvious start. The reason is that IDP leagues vary so much; one-time use for the season, 2 IDP starters in 10 team leagues, 11 starters in 14 team leagues, and roster requirements of various sorts throughout the world. So if one seems obvious it could be because the projections indicate this could be their best week of the season.
Week 10 led to some surprising IDP totals, and the lowest, highest point total of the season. Sheldon Rankins of Houston was the leading point scorer with 38.50 points last week, congrats to anyone that had him in their lineup. There are four teams on bye this week; Atlanta Falcons, Indianapolis Colts, New England Patriots, and New Orleans Saints. There are some great IDPs on all of those teams so make sure to remove them from your lineup.

Week 10 Sits
- DL AJ Epenesa (BUF) 17.00pts – 3 tackles, 3 QB Hits, 1.5 sacks, 1 TFL
- LB Tremaine Edmunds (CHI) 0.00pts
- DB Kenny Moore (IND) 8.25pts – 6 tackles
Outside of the defensive line position it was a decent outing for Week 10. AJ Epenesa had an impressive game despite the loss to the Denver Broncos. Enough about week ten though, time to look at week 11, and see where the best IDP plays are.
Start ‘Em
Nick Bosa (SF) v TB
Bosa is the one time use player for this week. Chase Young has put on the familiar red jersey color and is helping their pass rush. It has allowed for Nick Bosa to take advantage on one-on-one matches as the running backs begin to chip Chase Young. The San Francisco 49ers are playing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this week with a patchwork offensive line. N. Bosa should get to Baker Mayfield at least once this game.
Preston Smith (GB) v LAC
The Packers are experiencing another rough season, and it appears they will have little to play for but pride. Preston Smith gives 100% effort regardless of the team’s record, the opponent across from him, or the down and distance. He is a true leader and both of the Packers sack specialists have signed contract extensions to be Packers for the foreseeable future. Smith will have opportunities to get to Herber who although healthy has seen tons of pressure. Smith is available in most leagues, unless there are die hard Packers fans in there.
Sit ‘Em
Trey Hendrickson (CIN) @BAL
Hendrickson is having another pro-bowl caliber year. Unfortunately he hyperextended his knee against the Houston Texans last week, and he has a short turnaround with a match up Thursday night against division rival Baltimore Ravens. He has practiced and there are rumblings of him playing, but do not put him in your lineup. Do not drop him, just pine him this week.
Start ‘Em
Troy Dye (MIN) @DEN
Troy Dye filled in for Jordan Hicks after his injury last game and earned four tackles. The Vikings injuries continue to mount and although J. Hicks will not be easy to replace, Dye is set for the job. Longtime veteran, Anthony Barr, was signed to the practice squad and could be promoted later this week, but Dye will likely see the majority of snaps vacated by J. Hicks injury. Grab T. Dye and play him.
Blake Cashman (HOU) v ARI
Cashman has been mentioned in this article before, but he could still be out there in several leagues. Denzel Perryman was just suspended for three games, and Henry To’oTo’o has been out with a concussion, and Christian Harris has not been able to play consistently enough to earn playtime. Cashman should have the opportunity for his best game of the season. Play him.
Sit ‘Em
Jadeveon Clowney (BAL) v CIN
Clowney had an excellent game Sunday, recording over two sacks and six tackles. He scored 25 points which was more than the three previous weeks combined. He is a popular name and was a popular waiver wire add in several leagues. Do not fall for the trap! He does not have a back-to-back performance this season and Joe Burrow will be getting the ball out quickly.
Start ‘Em
Rudy Ford (GB) v LAC
The Green Bay Packers are in for a long night against the offense powerhouse that is the Los Angeles Chargers. However this benefits Rudy Ford in his tackling abilities. He has six or more tackles in all but one active game this season, and he had ten last week. He was injured during week nine and dropped in many leagues. Go scoop him up and play him, as another ten tackle game is more than possible against Justin Herbert and the Chargers Offense.
Benjamin St. Jude (WAS) v NYG
St. Jude has quietly been one of the most consistent defensive backs in fantasy football. He has eight straight games with nine or more points and sometimes far exceeding that. The Washington Commanders are hosting the New York Giants, who are arguably the worst team in the NFL this season. Their offensive line is atrocious and the Giants are playing with a quarterback who still lives at home. B. St. Jude is available in almost all leagues and is a solid floor play for your IDP lineup this week.
Sit ‘Em
Tre’Von Mohrig (LV) @MIA
The Las Vegas Raiders are suddenly surging behind interim head coach A. Pierce… sounds familiar. He has a match up against the Miami Dolphins where he could be running behind players on their way to the endzone. His numbers will be capped, looked elsewhere.
