2023 Week 14 IDP Help

Welcome to another exciting week of NFL action from the 2023 season, and my attempts to help you make crucial decisions for your IDP lineup for Week 14. My sleepers this week are IDPs; Grant Ritchie, Jack Gibbons, and Samson Ebukam. Each player offers a unique set of skills and opportunities based on their recent performances and matchups. Stay tuned for an action-packed week as these defensive players aim to make their presence felt and help fantasy teams secure crucial victories. Be sure to adjust your lineups accordingly and enjoy the final stretch of the season.

Samson Ebukam (DL, IND)

Week 13 Stats: 6 tackles, 2 sacks, 1 TFL.

Week 14 Projection: 5 tackles, 1 sack, 1 FF & 1 TFL.

Ebukam had a strong Week 13 outing against the Texans, recording 6 tackles, 2 sacks, and a TFL. In Week 14, the Colts play the Bengals, a team that relies heavily on their passing game. Ebukam can exploit the Bengals’ pass protection issues, especially playing against backup, Jake Browning, who tends to hold onto the ball longer. Expect Ebukam to add to his sack total this week as his presence in the Colts’ defensive line rotation is crucial for their success. Additionally, Ebukam is strong against the run, using his size and athleticism to shed blocks and make tackles. He has a high motor and doesn’t give up on plays, making him a valuable asset on the defensive front.

Jack Gibbons (LB, TEN)

Week 13 Stats: 13 tackles, 1 PD

Week 14 Projection: 11 tackles, 1 sack & 1 PD

Gibbons had a breakout game in Week 13, notching 13 tackles against the Saints. His ability to generate pressure on the quarterback and make plays in the backfield was on full display. The Titans are set to face the Dolphins on Monday Night Football in Week 14. Gibbons will have an excellent opportunity to capitalize on the Dolphins’ offensive line weaknesses. He’s an aggressive, high-energy player who thrives on creating chaos in the backfield. Gibbons is known for his ability to diagnose plays quickly and make tackles behind the line of scrimmage. He’s equally adept at pass rushing, with a knack for sacking the quarterback and forcing fumbles. Gibbons is an all-around linebacker who covers ground quickly and has excellent pursuit skills. His intensity and tenacity make him a leader on the field, setting the tone for the entire defense.

Grant Richie (DB, ATL)

Week 13 Stats: 2 tackles & 1 INT

Week 14 Projection: 6 tackles & 3 PDs.

This week, the Falcons play the Bucs and the opportunistic ways of Baker Mayfield. Ritchie’s ball-hawking skills will be put to the test, but he has a favorable matchup against a Buccaneers team that has allowed the 4th most interceptions this season. He’s a player who excels in reading the quarterback’s eyes and jumping routes. He’s agile and quick, making him effective in man-to-man coverage situations. Ritchie is not just a coverage specialist; he’s also active in run support, displaying a willingness to tackle and disrupt opposing offenses in the open field.

The data-driven projections suggest they’ll have their moments of IDP glory, whether it’s through interceptions, tackles, sacks, or forced fumbles. Keep a close eye on these players and may your Week 14 be filled with IDP stats! If you would like to see more of our rankings and projections you can check out our articles here.
