Welcome to Week 14 of the 2023 season IDP Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em series. For those new to the article, know that Play or Pine will cover IDPs which might seem like an obvious start. The reason is that IDP leagues vary so much; one-time use for the season, 2 IDP starters in 10 team leagues, 11 starters in 14 team leagues, and roster requirements of various sorts throughout the world. So if one seems obvious it could be because the projections indicate this could be their best week of the season.
Not the best week for IDPs, the play or pine was down this week due to it. The highest scoring IDP was Antoine Winfield TB, with 37.50 points, a relatively low high score of the week. These will happen particularly on a bye week with several teams out. This week the Arizona Cardinals and the Washington Commanders have their bye weeks, and this is the last week a team will not play. A quick recap of last week’s Play or Pine. This week there are three Kansas City Chiefs mentioned, a stud linebacker, and a few deep dives.

Week 13 Sits
- All players were players on bye that should have been held instead of dropping
Danielle Hunter (MIN) @LV
Hunter is having a career level year, that is to say his best season in the NFL. He has his career best in forced fumbles, is 1.5 sacks away from his highest sack total, and on pace for his career best in tackles. Those are impressive All-Pro numbers for the 9 year veteran; 60 tackles, 14 sacks, and 4 forced fumbles. He is rested and playing against a rookie QB, A. O’Connell, this week. He also has a favorable playoff schedule. D. Hunter is the one and done player of the week.
Samson Ebukam (IND) @CIN
Ebukam is on a roll, back-to-back games with two sacks. He has eight on the season, and has a favorable matchup again this week. He is playing against the Cincinnati Bengals and their backup quarterback J. Browning. A one sack game is well within reach for the Indianapolis Colts rush specialist!
George Karlaftis (KC) v SEA
Karlaftis has been one of the best pass rushers for the Kansas City Chiefs this season. He has sacks in seven of the twelve games thus far, but he may have difficulty chasing down Josh Allen this week. Even if he gets to him, J. Allen could drag him for positive yards as opposed to sacks. Pine him this week.
