Welcome to Week 6 of the 2023 season IDP Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em series. For those new to the article, know that Play or Pine will cover IDPs which might seem like an obvious start. The reason is that IDP leagues vary so much; one-time use for the season, 2 IDP starters in 10 team leagues, 11 starters in 14 team leagues, and roster requirements of various sorts throughout the world. So if one seems obvious it could be because the projections indicate this could be their best week of the season.
As always, if you are struggling with a decision you can checkout our rankings for each Week. Or, if you want a more personal touch, reach out on social media. You can find us on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Or jump into our Discord server.

- DL Bradley Chubb (MIA) 13.00pts, 7 tackles, 1 QB hit

Week 5 Sits
- DL Kahlil Mack (LAC) 0.00pts (will add to next week’s score for that was the warning)
- LB Leighton Vander Esch (DAL) 15.50pts 10 tackles, 1 tackle for loss
- DB Darious Williams (JAX) 22.50pts, 7 tackles, 1 forced fumble, 1 interception, 1 pass defended
An outstanding effort by both active pine suggestions, while a great performance from three Play suggestions, one was average, and the other was subpar for fantasy football purposes.
Start ‘Em
Ed Oliver (BUF) v NYG
Oliver is still available in several leagues despite being the 8th-ranked DL with 85 points. If you are in a league with DT requirements go scoop him immediately if he is available. E. Oliver and the Buffalo Bills host the New York Giants who have allowed 18 sacks in the past two games. Think about that, they gave up seven sacks last week (enough for some offensive line coaches to be replaced) and it was an improvement of four! Oliver has had 0.5 sacks or more in all but one game this season, and is on pace for a career-high in tackles. Go get him and play him.
Nik Bonito (DEN) @KC
Bonito is another defensive lineman who is likely available in your league. If so go get him and do not hesitate to put him in your lineup this week. He does play on Thursday and should be placed in the DL spot as opposed to the flex. However, Bonito has 5.5 sacks on the season despite limited snaps. Randy Gregory has been traded, and Frank Clark is a name being mentioned as a trade candidate. That would leave Bonito (and Allen) as the designated pressure guys for their defense. Get him and play him against the Chiefs.
Sit ‘Em
Johnathan Cooper (DEN) @KC
Cooper has been a hot name in the IDP community. Do not fall for it as he will be second in pressures to Bonito. Do not fall for the trap.
Start ‘Em
Micah Parsons (DAL) @LAC
Parsons is having an okay season, not producing the numbers some expected but he did a lot of talking on a show this week, and he is the type of person that can back it up as well. He has only 6 combined tackles in the past two weeks, earning a mere 8 points. The aforementioned Nik Bonito has more season points than Parsons, but Parsons should have a good game against the atrocious Los Angeles Chargers offensive line. On top of that, he is playing against his former offensive coordinator and could be bringing a little more juice to the match. One time use leagues, play him.
Jahlani Tavai (NE) @LV
Tavai is quietly having a great season. He is on pace to crush his career tackling numbers, currently at 63. He has been a leading tackler for the Patriots this season and has 14 in the past two games, with a sack against the Dallas Cowboys week 4. With the Patriots traveling to Las Vegas, Tavai could see several runs from Josh Jacobs in addition to passes from the Raiders wide receivers coming in his zone. Pick him up and play him.
Sit ‘Em
Ja’Whaun Bentley @LV
Bentley is dealing with a shoulder injury, he had 11 tackles and 1 sack prior to the injury. He likely will be in but will be favoring his shoulder in Las Vegas. Pine him this week.
Start ‘Em
Camryn Bynum (MIN) @CHI
Bynum should be owned in all leagues, if he is available go get him. HIs consistency has been amazing. Points rounded to nearest value; 14, 21, 13, 23, 14. He is a solid tackler who has 51 in five games, or 10+ tackles per game. The Vikings secondary is awful and with Justin Jefferson out for the first game of his career due to injury, the offense could have trouble. Play Bynum with absolute confidence, even in one-time use leagues.
Kareem Jackson (DEN) @KC
The 14-year vet is not slowing down. In fact, he led the Denver Broncos in tackles last week with 10. He has 26 tackles in his last three games and will be up against the pass-happy Kansas City Chiefs. He will be responsible for covering Kelce as well as deep threats across the middle. Kareem Jackson should have another high-volume game with more snaps than the offense. Pick him up and play him.
Sit ‘Em
Amani Hooker (TEN) v BAL
Hooker is having a decent year with tons of volume. However, he only earned four tackles last week and host the run-heavy Baltimore Ravens this week. Expect another low tackle game from Hooker this week.
