2023 Week 7 DraftKings Stacks

Ahead of our slate breakers article, I thought I’d write up some of my favorite DraftKings stacks for Week 7 of the 2023 season. There are a few articles you can find on why stacking is effective for DFS, so we won’t recap that here.

Instead, I’ll outline the criteria for being included:

  • Main slate only
  • Stack will include QB & 2 other players (optional bring back noted)

Stack 1 - Seattle Seahawks (v ARI)

O/U 44.5

Spread SEA -7.5 (SEA implied 26 Pts)

QB Geno Smith ($6,000)
WR D.K. Metcalf ($6,800)
WR Tyler Lockett ($6,000)

Total $18,800

Optional bring-back Marquise Brown/ Zach Ertz (ARI) +$5,300/ $3,200

Walker is going to be a popular play on the slate, so while the field go there, I’m going to opt for the aerial attack. Seattle have a great matchup against the Cardinals who have struggled to defend through the air, and given up one of the highest amounts to the position in the league. Metcalf hasn’t been massively consistent this season, but he has a massive ceiling in any given week, and has been getting plenty of work in the redzone. Lockett has been getting plenty of opportunities in the offense too, leading the team in targets. Had a great game last week with six receptions for 94 yards. I’m fine if you want to pivot to Jaxon Smith-Njigba ($3,900) as he has started seeing more of the field in recent weeks.

As a bring-back, I’ve opted for Brown who has been getting plenty of targets in the Cardinals offense. The Cardinals are likely to need to pass it early and often as their defense allows the Seahawks offense to score on them. I don’t mind Ertz, as he is getting a healthy target share, but his ceiling is alot lower than Browns.

Stack 2 - Los Angeles Rams (v PIT)

O/U 42.5

Spread LAR -3 (LAR implied 23 Pts)

QB Matthew Stafford ($6,500)
WR Cooper Kupp ($9,500)
WR Tutu Atwell ($4,300)

Total $20,300

Optional bring-back Diontae Johnson +$5,000

Stafford has been looking great this season. Has only had one game with multi-TDs through the air, but has been getting plenty of yardage. With Kyren Williams sidelined, we could see the team look to their veteran arm to finish some drives here against this Steelers defense. Kupp stepped back into the lead receiver role after missing the start of the season due to injury. The Steelers secondary has leaked production to receivers all season, so we should see plenty of mis-matches in this game- which is why I’ve gone for Atwell (and the chunk more required to get Puka Nacua ($7,600)).

Bring back here of Johnson assumes that he is active after spending some time on the sidelines. The Steelers haven’t managed to really do all that much on offense this season, with Kenny Pickett struggling, but Johnson should see plenty of targets if he is a go.

Stack 3 - Green Bay Packers (@DEN)

O/U 45.0

Spread GB -1.5 (GB implied 23 Pts)

QB Jordan Love ($5,800)
WR Christian Watson ($5,600)
WR Romeo Doubs ($4,900)

Total $16,300

Optional bring-back Javonte Williams (DEN) +$5,400

The Denver Broncos are fast becoming a defense to target for DFS. Next up- the Green Bay Packers. Jordan Love had a week to rest and prepare for this game on the road, and has shown he has plenty of upside with two three-passing TD games, and two scores on the ground too. Love is likely to be popular on the slate with his pricing and this matchup though- so bare that in mind when it comes to the rest of your build. The cheap combination of Watson and Doubs gives you the majority of the targets through the air against this poor Denver secondary.

Bring back of Williams is a little bit against the grain, with the majority of the field likely to look to Jaleel McLaughlin ($5,000). Williams should be given the opportunity to run the ball first here against the Packers defensive front that is one of the worst units in the league at defending the position.
