Welcome to another exciting week of NFL action from the 2023 season, and my attempts to help you make crucial decisions for your IDP lineup for Week 8. In Week 8, I have three IDP options to consider: Kamren Curl – Commanders, Blake Cashman – Texans, and Carl Granderson – Saints. Week 8 presents an exciting opportunity for IDP managers to capitalize on these three players’ talents. all have the potential to shine in Week 8. Keep an eye on these IDP studs as they aim to make a significant impact in your lineup. I’ll dive into their Week 7 performances, project their Week 8 stats, and discuss how they can succeed this week.
Carl Granderson (DL, NO) @IND
Week 7 Stats: 4 tackles, 1 sack.
Week 8 Projection: 5 tackles, 2 sacks, 1 FF & 1 PD.
Granderson had a solid Week 7 performance, recording a sack and making four tackles. He displayed his ability to pressure the quarterback, which is a key trait for an IDP defensive lineman. Granderson faces the Colts in Week 8, and this matchup favors him. The Colts’ offensive line has struggled with pass protection, giving Granderson an opportunity for multiple sacks.
Blake Cashman (LB, HOU) @CAR
Week 7 Stats: 9 tackles, 1 PD.
Week 8 Projection: 11 tackles, 1 sack & 1 PD.
Cashman was a tackling machine in Week 7, racking up nine tackles and pass defensed. Although he didn’t record any sacks or interceptions, his tackling ability is an IDP manager’s dream. In Week 8, Cashman faces the Panthers with a vulnerable offensive line to pass-rushers. I am projecting Cashman to get his first sack of the season and continue his high tackle count against the Panthers’ offense.
Kamren Curl (DB, WAS) v PHI
Week 6 Stats: 8 tackles, 1 INT.
Week 7 Projection: 7 tackles, 1 INT & 1 PD.
Curl had an impressive Week 7, showcasing his versatility as a defensive back. In addition to his seven tackles, he notched a sack and disrupted two passes. Curl’s ability to impact both the run and pass game makes him a valuable IDP asset. Curl faces the Eagles in Week 8, and he should have ample opportunities to produce. With a solid offense, the Eagles will give Curl plenty of opportunities to stack tackles and passes defensed. Expect him to record an interception as he capitalizes on the Eagles’ passing attack.
The data-driven projections suggest they’ll have their moments of IDP glory, whether it’s through interceptions, tackles, sacks, or forced fumbles. Keep a close eye on these players and may your Week 7 be filled with IDP stats! If you would like to see more of our rankings and projections you can check out our articles here.
