2024 IDP Waiver Wire – Week 3

The 2024 season is underway, and we have Week 3 just around the corner- so let’s check out some IDP Waiver Wire options.

2024 IDP Waiver Wire – Week 3 DT

  • Rakeem Nunez-Roches (NYG) has been a surprising addition to the Giants defensive line, after jumping around the league. To start the season through two games, he has had 6 solo tackles, 3 assisted tackles and a single TFL (with 71% of the team total snaps). His ownership is less than 2% of leagues on MFL, and he is a nice depth piece at the DT position.
  • Javon Kinlaw (NYJ) has been productive to start the season, on 60% of the snaps for the team. Kinclaw is overlooked next to the other stars on this defense. But, 6 solo tackles, 1 assist and 4 hurries (and 1 QB hit). Those sacks are set to come. When they do his ownership is going to spike over 2%.

  • Yaya Diaby (TB) had a bit of buzz around him this offseason, and I expect that to continue given his start to the season. Has just over 5% ownership, but worth picking up if he is available in your league. Has been on the field for 70% of the team snaps and has 10 hurries and 2 QB hits to start the season. Once those sacks start to come, they are going to rain down.
  • Tyquan Lewis (IND) has had a storming start to the season. On the field for 67% of the snaps for the Colts so far this season, he has managed 7 solo tackles and 1 assisted tackle to go along with 4 hurries, 1 QB hit and 1 sack. The Colts defensive line has a number of playmakers, but Lewis is available in a lot of leagues.

2024 IDP Waiver Wire – Week 3 LB

  • Troy Reeder (LAR) has stepped up in the Rams defense after the Ernst Jones trade. He hasn’t missed a snap yet, with 10 solo tackles and 6 assists. Hasn’t been given much pass-rushing work for upside, but those tackle numbers are solid as a floor. His ownership is going to increase week-to-week grab him while you can.
  • Jamien Sherwood (NYJ) is getting snaps as C.J. Mosley has been struggling with an injury. Sherwood has been getting the usage in his absence, and is set to the the next man up in the defense. In his increased snaps, he has totalled 10 solo tackles and 3 assisted tackles. Against the Patriots this week, and their run game, he should see more tackles in the middle of the field.

2024 IDP Waiver Wire – Week 3 CB

  • Marlon Humphrey (BAL) has been on the field on every Ravens defensive snap, and has been productive with that. Has 11 solo tackles and a single assisted tackle along with a single INT, and a TFL. If you have positional requirements where you have to start a CB, then Humphrey is likely owned already, but worth checking.
  • Christian Benford (BUF) is another back that has been on the field for every defensive snap, with double-digit tackles and a single INT. Should continue to be on the field, and is available in the vast majority of IDP leagues.

2024 IDP Waiver Wire – Week 3 S

  • Cameron Lewis (BUF) might be listed as a CB, depending on where you play, but he is a great defensive back. Has been on the field for over 90% of the defensive snaps for the Bills, and been hugely productive. Had 10 solo tackles and 3 assists to go along with 3 hurries. Has been getting lined up in the box around half the time too, so could see more rushing responsibility.
  • Quentin Lake (LAR) has been an everpresent in the Rams secondary, and has been getting lined up in the box and slot for a decent number or snaps too. Has 13 solo tackles and 7 assisted tackles to go along with a single QB hit.
