The 2024 season is underway, and we have Week 4 just around the corner- so let’s check out some IDP Waiver Wire options. Ownership has been taken from MFL- they list ownership of %’s across all leagues. From research, looks like around 20% of their leagues have some form of IDP in them. Therefore, the ownership used for this article is 7% (as that should be just under half owned in leagues). Hope it helps!
2024 IDP Waiver Wire – Week 4 DT
- Gervon Dexter Sr. (CHI) has started the season well as part of the Bears defensive line. Only owned in 3.2% of leagues, he has 11 total tackles (7 solo and 4 assisted) to go along with 3 hurries, 2 hits and 2 sacks. Solid tackle numbers and some pass-rushing too- nice DT piece if you need one.
- Rakeem Nunez-Roches (NYG) was included in this article last week, and he had another strong outing in Week 3. He is consistently on the field, and now has 7 solo tackles, 6 assists, and a single TFL. But, now he has shown his pass rushing ability, with 2 QB Hurries and 1 sack. If you have to start a player at DT, then he is a great option that is owned in less than 2% of leagues.
- EXTRA FOR THIS WEEK Nathan Shepherd (NO) was mentioned in the ‘others to check’ last week, but going to bump him up here. The Saints have started well this season, and Shepherd has been great on their defensive line. Playing in 57% of the team snaps, he has 10 solo tackles and 1 assisted tackle, along with 1 TFL. Issue for him is that he doesn’t have a massive ceiling, with his lack of pass-rushing. But, solid involvement in the defense otherwise (again owned in less than 2% of leagues).

- Bryan Bresee (NO) 3.9% rostered
- Folorunso Fatukasi (HOU) Less Than 2% rostered
- Daniel Ekuale (NE) Less Than 2% rostered
2024 IDP Waiver Wire – Week 4 DE
- Yaya Diaby (TB) is a player that I’m going to mention until he starts to see a bump in ownership. Despite his performances to start the season, his ownership decreased last week. He is consistently on the field, and has been able to get to the QB consistently- it just hasn’t yet converted into sacks. But, surely after 13 hurries and 2 hits in the opening 3 weeks, those sacks are going to start coming.
- Tyquan Lewis (IND) was another player that was mentioned last week, but hasn’t seen a large ownership shift. Owned in just 2.5% of leagues, he has 70% of the Colts snaps while getting 11 solo tackles, and a single assist and a single TFL. But, alongside those tackle stats, he has been getting to the QB consistently- with 7 hurries, 1 QB hit and 1 sack. Worth picking up as a depth piece.
- EXTRA FOR THIS WEEK DeMarcus Walker (CHI) he is on the field almost constantly, with a 89% snap share. Has decent tackle stats, with 9 total (5 solo and 4 assists) and is getting to the QB, just hasn’t converted it into a sack yet- has 3 hurries and 4 QB hits.

- Nik Bonitto (DEN) 3.9% rostered
- Michael Clemons (NYJ) Less Than 2% rostered
2024 IDP Waiver Wire – Week 4 LB
- K.J. Britt/ SirVocea Dennis (TB) this combination have been great to start the season with Tampa. Dennis saw a massive boost in ownership last week, up to 7% this week, while Britt saw a reduction. They both have solid tackle numbers in the middle of the field (Britt has 15 total tackles, and Dennis has 17 total). Britt has slightly more upside, as he has been rotated into some pass-rushing snaps.
- Jamien Sherwood (NYJ) was here last week, and stays here. Owned in 4.2% of leagues, he has seen more work with C.J. Mosley‘s injury. He has 14 solo tackles, and 4 assisted tackles along with a single TFL. If Mosley continues to struggle to be healthy, Sherwood should see more work. Decent waiver wire pickup.
Others to check
- Troy Reeder (LAR) 5.2% rostered
- Raekwon McMillan (NE) Less than 2% rostered
2024 IDP Waiver Wire – Week 4 CB
- Jamel Dean (TB) has been on the field on every Tampa snap this season, with a huge 23 solo tackles and 4 assisted tackles through the opening three games (although there was a lot during last weeks loss to Denver). Hasn’t yet managed to get a turnover, and only broken up one pass. Feels like a player on the rise though, with just 3% ownership at the time of writing.
- Riley Moss (DEN) is listed as a CB, but he has been getting decent usage in the Box too (with around 10% of his snaps coming from there). As a result, has 20 total tackles (16 solo) through the opening 3 weeks, along with 1 TFL, 1 forced fumble and 1 pass defended. Available in a lot of leagues too, with 2.8% rostership.
Others to check
- Benjamin St-Juste (WAS) 5.7% rostered
- Christian Izien (TB) 2.5% rostered
- Jaylon Jones (IND) Less than 2% rostered
2024 IDP Waiver Wire – Week 4 S
- Quentin Lake (LAR) was mentioned last week, but still feels like he is lower owned than he should be given his involvement in the Rams defense. Has been an everpresent in the Rams secondary, and has been getting lined up in the box and slot for a decent number or snaps too. Has 20 solo tackles and 8 assisted tackles to go along with a single QB hit.
- Brandon Jones (DEN) has been on the field for 89% of the snaps for Denver, with 13 solo tackles to go along with 5 assisted tackles. Has an INT and a fumble recover too, with varied usage with some slot and box lineup slots. Just under 6% ownership at the moment.
Others to check
- Chuck Clark (NYJ) 5.1% rostered
- P.J. Locker (DEN) 3.7% rostered
- Xavier Woods (CAR) 3.6% rostered
