It’s finally here- Week 11 of the 2024 season, and another DraftKings main slate. We are back offering you DFS advice to try and help you navigate your way to victories throughout the season. The players selected here are based on their price, their ability to hit value and likely ownership. The selections are leaning more towards GPP slates, rather than cash (50/50) slates. But let’s get into it
Bo Nix v ATL ($6,200)
It was another impressive showing in week 10 for the rookie out of Oregon – 215 passing yards and 2 touchdowns were enough to see Nix finish up as the overall QB12 on the week, his 4th top-12 performance on the year. This was the first week that Nix’s legs worked against him in a positive fantasy performance – in each of the three previous games he has put up QB1 numbers, he has recorded either 60+ yards on the ground or a rushing touchdown…yet his 3 attempts for negative 5 yards and a fumble against the Chiefs were still not enough to move him out of QB1 territory. A home matchup against the Falcons is a much more appealing fixture than facing the reigning Super Bowl Champions on the road…his price is climbing, but the upside is definitely there.
Russell Wilson v BAL ($5,900)
Mr Unlimited somehow finished as the overall QB10 last weekend despite only completing a paltry 50% of his passes in the road victory over Washington. He may have only thrown for 195-yards in the win – but when 3 of your 14 of your completions are in the end zone…it doesn’t really matter. The connection between Russ and his main man George Pickens (more on him later) is getting stronger each and every week, with the wideouts accounting for 47% of Wilson’s total passing yards, as well as hauling in 1 of his 3 TD passes. Facing off against the worst passing defense in the league – expect Wilson (and Pickens) to have big time performances on Sunday. The Steelers are 3 point dogs in a matchup with an O/U of 48.5…the highest of the weekend. Russ will need to throw, and when he does, it’s likely to be successful. Start him with confidence and spend up elsewhere.

David Montgomery v JAX ($6,500)
This is a simple one for me – David Montomery = good, Jacksonville vs the run = bad. The Jags are giving up over 140-yards to the running back position each and every week, and against the Lions in Detroit this Sunday, there exists a real possibility they could cede that to both David Montgomery and Jahymr Gibbs. Only the Eagles and Commanders have scored more rushing yards on the year than the men from Motor City and I’d bet the house on one, if not both of Dan Campbell’s backs adding to that tally this weekend. Detroit are an unbelievable 14 point favourite against the Mac Jones led Jaguars…giving the Lions an implied team total of 31 points. Gibbs always has the passing upside, but in a game where Detroit will most likely be out of sight by the half – expect them to run the Jags into the ground for at least two full quarters. Monty comes in $800 cheaper than his sophomore team-mate…that’s enough to give him the edge for me.
Jaylen Warren v BAL ($5,300)
Despite the tough matchup Jaylen Warren looks set to be a fine play against the Ravens and their 4th ranked defense against the run…and that turns into a great play should Najee Harris fail to fully recover from the ankle injury he sustained in the Steelers’ one-point victory over the Commanders last weekend. Warren was on the field for 45% of snaps last time out and accounted for exactly half of the team’s rushing yards, as well as seeing all of the passing work at the position for the team. I am not overly concerned about the matchup – as 3 point underdogs, Russell Wilson is going to have to throw, and after George Pickens – Warren is the likely second read. He could be a full-time starter with passing upside for only $5,300 – that’s the kind of pick that wins weeks.
Audric Estime v ATL ($4,500)
Move over Javonte Williams, there’s a new number one rusher in town, and his name is Audric Estime. The rookie out of Notre Dame was a priority pick-up in this week’s waiver column…and with due cause. Not only did the 21-year old rookie out-touch Williams 14-1, Broncos’ Head Coach Sean Payton came out midweek and indicated Estime would continue to get even more work moving forward…jackpot. The matchup against Atlanta isn’t the best for opposition backs, but with Denver entering the weekend as 2.5 point home favourites – there should be plenty of opportunities for Estime to build on his excellent performance against a stout Chiefs defense. At only $4,500, there is nothing but upside with this one.

George Pickens @BAL ($7,000)
How many Pittsburgh Steelers can we get into one column…turns out the answer is three. I really like Jaylen Warren this week, and I absolutely love Russell Wilson…but I am at a stage of borderline obsession with third-year wideout George Pickens as the black and yellow head to Maryland for the divisional clash with the Ravens. The former Georgia Bulldog has two top-five finishes in his last three games – and I just can’t envisage a scenario where he doesn’t make that three from four coming out of Sunday night. Baltimore ranks dead last in the league for yards, touchdowns and fantasy points given up to opposing wideouts each week, and were just torched by Ja’Marr Chase to the tune of 264-yards and 3 scores last time out. Pickens is no Chase, but he won’t have to be – he’s more than talented enough to get the job done against this incredibly generous secondary. He’s my favourite play on the slate, and it’s not even close.
Calvin Ridley v MIN ($6,200)
Ever since the departure of DeAndre Hopkins, Calvin Ridley has been on a hot-streak. Nuk’s move to the Chiefs opened up the door for Ridley and the remainder of the Titans’ receiver corps – and it is the sixth-year receiver out of Alabama who has been the one to step through. In his last three starts, the former Falcon has finished as the WR6, WR31 and the WR3…quite the transition from his three-pack of games outside the top-85 just one month ago. Ridley seems to have developed a rapport with sophomore QB Will Levis, and that bond will get another chance to strengthen as the Titans welcome the Minnesota Vikings and their generous pass defense to Nashville this weekend. The Vikes are giving up an average of 178-yards to opposing wideouts each week – the 3rd worst in the NFL. Expect Ridley to put up another very serviceable performance in this one.
Jauan Jennings v SEA ($5,300)
If George Pickens is my favourite play on the slate, Jauan Jennings at only $5,300 may be my second. Jennings may have started the season down the depth chart in San Francisco, but with Brandon Aiyuk’s season-ending injury and Deebo Samuel’s downturn in production, the fourth-year receiver has seized his opportunities with both hands. Yes, Jennings is most likely the third, maybe even the fourth-read for Brick Purdy with the return of Christian McCaffrey…but I am not concerned. Jennings has slid into the Aiyuk role and is the biggest threat the team has over the top. George Kittle enters the weekend with a hamstring issue – I fully expect the TE1 on the season to go, but he may be limited in this divisional clash. Jennings should be in for a bumper fantasy day.
Also consider: D.K. Metcalf @SF ($6,500), Marquez Valdes-Scantling v CLE ($4,400) & Mack Hollins v KC ($3,800)
Mark Andrews @PIT ($4,600)
Is Mark Andrews back? Probably not, but the veteran tight end has been in the top-5 at the position in three of his last five outings. Since week 6, Andrews has been the overall TE3, and the TE4 in FPPG, and in last week’s victory over the Bengals, recorded a season high in snap percentage (87%) and TE targets (88%). Isaiah Likely is on track to return from a hamstring injury that saw him sit out week 10, so will put a cap on Andrew’s upside – but the 30-year old has shown he still has plenty to offer and should be one of Lamar Jackson’s top targets alongside Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman. Andrews feels like excellent value at only $4,600 in the highest O/U on the slate.
Dawson Knox v KC ($3,500)
As a Dalton Kincaid re-draft manager…this pains me. After what felt like an eternity, it looked as if Josh Allen and his sophomore tight end were finally starting to get on the same page…so of course Kincaid got hurt stretching out for an overthrown pass that would have resulted in a 28-yard walk-in TD. The knee injury Kincaid suffered on the play eventually ruled him out of the game, and out for this week’s matchup against the Chiefs – the 2nd worst team against the TE position. Dawson Knox is next man up, and with Keon Coleman already ruled out, and Amari Cooper questionable with a wrist injury – Knox could be a busy boy against the reigning Super Bowl Champions. The matchup is too good to not take a chance – I expect Knox to find the end zone in a game that finally sees Kansas lose their unbeaten tag.
Also consider: Hunter Henry v LAR ($3,900) & Jonnu Smith v LV ($3,800)
Green Bay Packers @CHI ($3,500)
Remember earlier on in the season when it was a good play to take any DST facing the Cleveland Browns due to the outrageous number of sacks they were giving up? The bad news – Cleveland have started to get their act together (Jameis has been sacked only 8 times in 2 weeks), the good news – Chicago appear to want their rookie quarterback to not see the end of season, allowing Caleb Williams to be sacked 21 times in their last 4 games…9 last week alone! The Bears look broken at the moment and Matt Eberflus could be following former OC Shane Waldron out the door very soon. The Packers will win this game, it’s just a question of by what margin. Williams is going to be in for another very long day – roster the Pack with confidence.
Miami Dolphins v LV ($3,000)
Coming off of five straight defeats, things aren’t set to get any easier for the Las Vegas Raiders. Gardner Minshew has retained his starters role (for now). Desmond Ridder stepped in to replace Minshew halfway through the Raiders’ 41-24 blowout defeat in Cleveland prior to their week 10 bye, but it’s the former Colt and Jaguar who gets the nod as Vegas continue to wait on Aidan O’Connell’s return from the IR. Miami held Matthew Stafford to just 293-scoreless yards on 46 attempts on Monday night, and will look to make it back-to-back QB shutdowns when Minshew and co. visit South Beach this weekend. If you can’t spend up on the Bears, at $500 less, the Dolphins are a solid start.
