DraftKings Divisional Showdown 2021 Buffalo @Kansas City

Welcome as you join us in our coverage of the 2021 NFL Playoff Draftkings Divisional Showdown slates, finishing the weekend with Buffalo @Kansas City. Vegas has the O/U set to 54 and set to spread to -1.5 in favor of Kansas City. This game has shoot-out written all over it. To win this week you’ll need high-volume guys in your lineup, and the best way to do this is to pick a Buffalo player as your captain.

DraftKings Divisional Showdown- Buffalo @Kansas City Captain Picks

Josh Allen ($18,000 Capt/ $12,000 Flex)

Allen has the ability to keep the defense on their toes with his feet. He has over 350 rushing yards on QB-designed runs and 5 touchdowns. In his last game against New England, he set a team playoff record with 5 touchdowns. Allen is dual-threat quarterback that does a good job spreading the ball around the offense. Most of Buffalo’s scoring will come through Allen and he correlates well with everyone on his team. I think he’s priced fairly and easy to build around in the captain spot.

Dawson Knox ($9,600 Capt/ $6,400 Flex)

Knox was a beast in his last game. He had 5 catches for 85 yards and 2 touchdowns. I look for him and Allen to continue the momentum in this game, as the Chiefs will try to game plan against Diggs. This season he has received 14.5% of his team’s red-zone targets. Also, the Chiefs’ passing defense is ranked 25th in the league and allows 263.6 yards per game. Knox is cheap and I expect him to be low owned at the captain position. Knox at captain is a perfect strategy to get contrarian in tournaments.

DraftKings Divisional Showdown- Buffalo @Kansas City

Devin Singletary ($8,800 Flex)

As of late Singletary has become more involved in the offense. In the first half against the Patriots Singletary ran for 2 touchdowns. For the season Singletary has accumulated 870 rushing yards and 7 touchdowns. However, the 3 times he has faced Kansas City in his career he has not scored a touchdown. Look for him to change this as Buffalo has integrated more opportunities for running backs in the offense. The Chiefs defense also ranks 21st against the run and gives up 117.6 yards per game. Another thing that makes Singletary enticing is that he holds a 36.9% redzone rushing attempt rate. Sign me up!

Clyde Edwards-Helaire ($7,800 Flex)

Edwards-Helaire has missed some time due to a shoulder injury. He should reclaim his duties as the leading back. However, I have a feeling he will primarily be used for early-down runs, and then McKinnon will come in for the third downs and passing plays.

Byron Pringle ($5,000 Flex)

Pringle has played a significant role in the Chiefs’ offense. Against the Steelers, He had 5 catches for 37 yards and 2 touchdowns. Reid will try to clear the top of the defense to make room for Mahomes to connect with Pringle in rhythm and from the pocket.

Jerick Mckinnon ($7,000 Flex)

Mckinnon will play a prominent role in the Kansas City passing game. In his last game against the Steelers, he had 18 touches for 142 yards. Even with Clyde Edwards-Helaire back Mckinnon could stay relevant. by gobbling all the pass-catching opportunities. Kansas City will try to get him going with screens to match up against two-deep zone coverages.

Issac McKenzie ($3,000 Flex)

I like Mckenzie for his price. If Kansas City decides to play a lot of man Issac will be targeted a lot. He plays slot receiver and knows how to get open with his speed. Also if you have Josh Allen in your lineup it makes great correlation play that will be low owned.
