Divisional Weekend Selections: Quarterbacks

Patrick Mahomes ($7,500) matches up in a great game against Houston this weekend. Even though he has been unable to match the impressive production from last season he has great upside. Houston has struggled to stop quarterbacks all season- giving up the most DraftKings points this season. Stack a few more Kansas City players for this shootout game.

Aaron Rodgers ($6,500) at home is always a good option- regardless of the opposition. Yes, he faces Seattle this weekend who has been an effective unit this season, but a player of his quality should be able to overcome them. Rodgers is also one of the cheaper ‘elite’ options on this slate.

Divisional Weekend Selections: Running Backs

Damien Williams ($6,000) seems to have found his late-season legs after struggling with injury in the middle of the season. Kansas City has found ways of getting him into space- and he is used in the passing game which is a great bonus with the scoring on DraftKings.

Carlos Hyde ($5,000) is a bit of a step-down in price and certainly isn’t an obvious choice for owners this weekend. However, Hyde is a great option as a salary saver. Kansas City was torn apart by Hyde on the ground in Week 6, where he rushed for 116 yards and a touchdown. While that isn’t likely to be repeated he is still a useful addition, with his likely workload.

Marshawn Lynch ($4,800) is a bit of a dice throw, but being totally honest (even as a Green Bay fan) Lynch is an exciting player to watch. At any point, he has the ability to break the long run. Combined with Seattle rushing the ball in the red-zone, he has great touchdown upside against a team that has struggled to stop running backs this season.

Divisional Weekend Selections: Wide Receivers

Tyreek Hill ($7,600) has been quiet in recent weeks, but in this matchup against Houston, I get the feeling he is going to be a real week winner this week. Facing up against a secondary that has given up big plays all season, and that is struggling with injuries, this could be a big week for Hill.

D.K. Metcalf ($6,800) had a great game last week, and against has a good matchup on paper. Green Bay has struggled against deep passes all season, and with 241 and 2 TDs in his last two games, is likely to be targetting another great game in the playoffs.

Emmanuel Sanders ($5,400) had a great start to his career in San Francisco but has struggled in recent weeks to make an impact for fantasy. Against Minnesota, who allowed the fourth-most receiving yards in the NFL this season, Sanders could be a good option- with low ownership.

Sammy Watkins ($4,300) gives exposure to the Kansas City passing game if you are unable (or unwilling) to add Tyreek Hill to your lineups. Watkins hasn’t been able to live up to his Week 1 production but could make a splash in the playoffs against Houston.

Divisional Weekend Selections: Tight Ends

Mark Andrews ($5,600) there are other tight end options with Travis Kelce and George Kittle on this limited slate. However, Andrews‘ involvement in the offense can’t be overlooked. Against Tennessee that has struggled against Tight Ends this season, this is a match made in heaven.

Jimmy Graham ($3,300) represents my favorite of the cheaper tight ends this week. Yes, he has struggled this season, but he is still a red-zone weapon. Against Seattle who hasn’t been great at defending the position, the revenge game narrative could have some weight.

Divisional Weekend Selections: Defense & Special Teams

As with last week, there are a number of effective options for owners. Anything can happen in the pressure of the playoffs, so select your defense at the end using whatever budget you have left.

Kansas City ($3,200) has fantastic home-field advantage, and the defense is a big part of that. Houston allowed seven sacks last week against Buffalo. I’d expect Kansas City to be able to apply pressure on Watson again this week.

Green Bay ($2,800) has a great pass rush this season, and Seattle have an offensive line that isn’t the best. Even if Wilson is able to evade some of the pressure, Green Bay is likely to get a number of sacks and could force a turnover too.
