Continuing with our DraftKings showdown slates in 2020, we bring you Buffalo @Denver and Saturday NFL! Week 15 of the NFL kicks off with a Saturday doubleheader, starting with the Bills traveling to Denver to face the Broncos. Buffalo enter the game as 6 point favorites, with an O/U of 48.5. The Bills enter the game off the back of a 26-15 victory over the Steelers on SNF, with the Broncos winning 32-27 on the road in Carolina. Buffalo can clinch the AFC East with a victory at Mile High this evening.

DraftKings Showdown 2020: Buffalo @ Denver Captain Options
Josh Allen ($18,600 Capt/ $12,400 Flex)
Allen is averaging 27.85 DKPPG over his last 5 games. Denver is currently without its top corners A. J. Bouye and Bryce Callahan, and has allowed 8 of the 13 QBs they’ve faced this season to score at least 20 DK points. He also offers plenty of rushing upside, and faces a defence that has given up the most rushing TDs (6) to opposing QBs. Allen is second on the team with 93 rushes, only 42 behind their leading RB Devin Singletary, with 22 of those coming in the red zone. The Bills QB is my favourite Captain option on the slate, despite his high price tag.
Stefon Diggs ($17,100 Capt/ $11,400 Flex)
Diggs is in an elite spot here against a depleted Broncos secondary. Averaging 20.1 DKPPG on the season, along with 7.6 receptions and 89.8 yards, Diggs has a massively high ceiling in the matchup. He has managed 10 receptions in 3 of his last 4 games – with two of those coming against quality defences in the 49ers and the Steelers. Diggs should be aiming for another 100+ yards game here this evening.
Gabriel Davis ($9,300 Capt/ $6,200 Flex)
With John Brown landing on IR, Davis and Beasley have seen a huge uptick in targets. Davis has scored a TD three games in a row, and I fully expect him to continue that streak tonight. Davis leads the team with 6 end zone targets – 5 of those coming in the last 3 games. He played 83% of offensive snaps in Week 14, and 97% in Week 13. Davis is my favourite value Captain on the slate.
Noah Fant ($8,400 Capt/ $5,600 Flex)
My fourth and final Captain option for this matchup is the Broncos TE. Whilst it’s safe to say Fant hasn’t exactly lit the league alight, he definitely presents a more contrarian Captain option, with a substantial amount of upside. The Buffalo defense has allowed the most catches (75) and second-most yards (833) to opposing TEs this season, as well as 7 TDs and an average 15 DKPPG. Fant has seen the 3rd-most targets from QB Drew Lock this season, and in a game I fully expect the Broncos to trail for a large majority, I can’t see Denver running too much come the second half.
DraftKings Showdown 2020: Buffalo @ Denver Flex Options
Cole Beasley ($9,200 Flex)
Similar to Diggs and Davis, Beasley comes into this game with a high ceiling. Facing a depleted secondary, I expect the Bills WRs to have a field day. Since John Brown landed on IR, Beasley has seen 25 targets. That’s only 8 less than Diggs, so the potential is definitely there for another big game for the Bills’ WR2. The only thing putting me off Beasley in the Captain spot is his jump in salary.
KJ Hamler ($5,400 Flex)
Hamler has seen a 12.9% target share from Lock so far this season and certainly has big-play ability, as shown by his 2-86-2 stat line last week at the Panthers. Hamler arguably faces the best matchup of the three Broncos WRs, as he primarily lines up in slot. Buffalo’s starting slot CB Taron Johnson has given up 5+ catches in 7 of 13 games this season, presenting Hamler with the chance of an excellent game.
Bills DST ($4,600 Flex)
It looks highly likely Lock is going to have a throw a ton to keep the Broncos in this contest. The Bills secondary is a talented one, with 12 INTs on the season, and face a 2nd-year QB who has currently thrown 13 INTs this season. Only Carson Wentz has thrown more (15). I expect the Buffalo defence to have a field day here, and have a potential for double-digit points.
Tyler Bass ($4,200 Flex)
Bass has a solid floor and comes at a reasonably low price, allowing you to fit in a few more of the higher-priced players. He’s averaging 12.4 DKFPPG, and is 25-31 on FGs and 38-40 on XPs. In a game that has the potential to be high scoring, Bass is certainly a reliable option this evening.
Phillip Lindsay ($2,400 Flex)
Lindsay is my favorite value option on this slate, with a high probability of double-digit touches. Whilst the Denver rushing offense has been lackluster to say the least, tonight’s matchup provides a chance for redemption, against a Buffalo defense that has surrendered the 14th-most rushing yards this season, and T7th-most rushing TDs. At $2,400, Lindsay is definitely in play this evening on DraftKings.
