Continuing with our DraftKings showdown slates in 2020, we bring you Cleveland @New York. The Cleveland Browns head to East Rutherford, NJ to play the 5-6 New York Giants. Vegas projects this to be a low scoring game opening with a 43 point total. Weather should be a factor in this game and may temper the explosive Browns offense.

DraftKings Showdown 2020: Cleveland Browns @New York Giants
Browns Offense
We will start with Patrick Graham, the defensive coordinator for the Giants and the problems he is cooking up for Baker Mayfield. Patrick Graham studied at Yale, spent 7 years under Belichick, a few years with Steve Spagnuolo learning the 4-3 base and few years with Mike Pettine, the Packers defensive coordinator. He’s touted as a defensive genius because he changes his scheme each week to disrupt the opposing offense.
Passing Game Will Be Stalled
Ever since Joe Judge has become head coach the Giants defense has been playing on another level- which is due to Joe giving Pat more reign over his unit and play calling. Jarvis Landry could be doubled teamed and the line will be shifted to disrupt the Run-Pass-Option play- Baker’s bread and butter. Factor in the rain, I’m completely fading the Browns passing game.
Elite Ground Attack
Nick Chubb is 6th in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns this season while averaging 5.9 yards per carry. Kareem Hunt is right behind him ranked 10th in rushing yards for this season and averaging 4.4 yards per carry. The Giants have allowed the 9th most fantasy points to running backs over the course of the season. For the DraftKings Showdown slate I’m targeting these two running backs and look to build correlation by jamming in the Browns defense.
Best point per dollar play: Kareem Hunt
Captain Spot: Nick Chubb
Sneaky GPP: Browns D
New York Giants Offense
Wayne Gallman Jr. over the past 4 weeks has been averaging 17.5 carries and 2.75 targets. He will be the primary weapon against the Browns defense that primarily plays a base 3-4 under scheme.
Browns Kryptonite
The Browns like to play a lot of cover 3 that ignores the run and gives way to short passes. Also, over the past 4 weeks the Browns have allowed the 9th most fantasy points to opposing running backs.
Key Matchup
Andrew Sendejo, the Browns safety has been inconsistent this season bearing a PFF grade of 41. On long down situations, the Giants will look to attack him with their star TE Evan Engram who is 5th in targets and 7th in receptions this season. The issue for the Giants has been poor quarterback play . Denzel Ward should be back and ready to shut down Darius Slayton.
Volume Players
Regardless, Colt McCoy should feel comfortable dumping it of to Engram, a viable GPP target for the showdown slate and Gallman grades out to be a must play as he is responsible for 24.8% of the offenses production.
Best point per dollar play: Evan Engram
Captain Spot: Wayne Gallman Jr.
Sneaky GPP: Dion Lewis
