DraftKings Showdown 2021 Los Angeles @Las Vegas

We are here to cover the DraftKings Showdown slates for the 2021 season, continuing with Los Angeles @Las Vegas. Las Vegas Raiders have a chance for a playoff birth with a win against the Chargers. Vegas has the O/U at 49 and the Chargers winning by 3 points. I plan to stack my lineups with Raiders players and expect them to keep it close for a shoot-out.

DraftKings Showdown- Los Angeles @Las Vegas Captain Picks

Austin Ekler ($17,400 Capt/ $11,600 Flex)

Ekeler has been dominating on the ground and in the passing game. He’s averaging 4.66 yards per run and is currently ranked 3rd in the league for receptions by a running back. The Raiders have been terrible against the run. He’s the most expensive option but worth every penny. His volume and great matchup should translate to a monster game.

Hunter Renfrow ($12,600 Capt/ $8,400 Flex)

Renfrow gets open a lot does a good job creating separation and is a multi-cut route runner. Renfrow had 99 catches with 1025 yards and 7 touchdowns. He’s been a surprising bright spot for the team. He is responsible for 20.8% of the team’s target share and gets 30.4% of the red zone targets. His ceiling is pretty high as the Raiders pass the ball 60.9% of the time, expect Renfrow to get involved. At his price, we have enough salary to stuff in the remaining studs.

DraftKings Showdown- Los Angeles @Los Vegas Flex

Keenan Allen ($10,400 Flex)

Allen leads the Chargers with receiving yards and has 6 touchdowns for the year. He’s been the most targeted and leads the team with red-zone targets at 23.5%. He plans to bounce back after a tough game against a stingy Denver defense.

Derek Carr ($10,000 Flex)

Carr has been super consistent and has played well. The Raiders will most likely need to keep up with the Chargers’ explosive offenses. So that means more opportunities for Carr to throw the ball. His ceiling is high and has plenty of correlation with his teammates. I like locking him in a majority of my lineups

Zay Jones ($6,400 Flex)

Jones holds a 10.5% target share and limited opportunities in the red zone. Jones stepped up a lot when Waller went down. He’s a big target receiver that Carr trust with big-play potential. In his last game, he had 8 catches for 125 yards, and over the last three games he has been averaging 79 yards per game. Pair him with Derek Carr to get max correlation in your lineups.

Marcus Mariota ($6,000 Flex)

In his last out he played in 5 snaps. This workload could increase as they try to find ways to supplement Jacobs’s workload. His low ownership will help you take down large tournaments. Also if Carr gets pulled or injured you will have his back up. Mariota makes a great pivot if you don’t think Carr will play a full game.

Peyton Barber ($1,000 Flex)

If Jacobs can’t go then load up on Barber. First off he’s cheap, second, he’s going to absorb Jacobs’s entire workload. He will definitely exceed value if Jacobs is limited or can’t go so keep your eyes out for late injury news.
