DraftKings Showdown 2021- San Francisco @Tennessee

Welcome into our 2021 coverage of the DraftKings showdown slates- continuing with San Francisco @Tennessee. This game brings us a team challenging for the playoffs, and a divisional leader. The 49ers have been getting a nice run of performances together, even with the upheaval in the backfield. The Titans, on the other hand, are really looking a little lost on offense with the loss they suffered with Derrick Henry’s injury. Still, it should be a good game with a tight spread predicted.

DraftKings Showdown 2021- San Francisco @Tennessee Captain Picks

George Kittle ($16,800)

Kittle is my favorite receiver in this game. At the moment he looks unstoppable on the field, and has re-established his role in the offense as a target hog. And it’s not just targets, he has backed it up with production too. He has caught six TD passes in his last seven games, and should have a good chance of scoring again tonight.

Jeff Wilson ($7,800)

Wilson did what you needed last week against Atalanta, and against the Titans he should be able to continue that streak. He does come with risk, as Deebo Samuel has managed to have some carries out of the backfield, but the price is great. Having Wilson in as your captain means that you can grab a number of players in your flex positions that you want with the saving.

DraftKings Showdown 2021- San Francisco @Tennessee Flex Picks

Deebo Samuel ($11,600)

If Samuel is playing, he is worth considering for your lineup just with how dynamic he is. Samuel is used all over the field, including the backfield with Eli Mitchell ruled out. That makes him a matchup-proof weapon, regardless of how the game is going.

Jimmy Garoppolo ($10,400)

Garappolo looked like he was done when the season started but has really turned it around. He finds the player that needs the ball quickly and uses their ability after the catch, rather than his arm to get yards. He has had a good run of games with multiple TDs, and yardage totals. Given the minimal difference between him and Tannehill, he is going to be in the majority of my lineups.

Ryan Tannehill ($10,000)

Tannehill isn’t performing at the level that he did at the start of the season, with the offense really taking a step back. But, in this game, with the return of A.J. Brown, we could see the Titans having to air the ball out more. But, I’d temper expectations this week with Tannehill struggling the past few weeks- more of a GPP pick

A.J. Brown ($8,800)

Brown is set to play, and that could give the Titans offense a real lift. I think you have to play him in some lineups this week, even with his absence recently. He is an efficient player, so even if he is limited he has the chance to return good value.

Jauan Jennings ($5,000)

Jennings is the third WR in the offense, but has seen more usage with Samuel taking snaps out of the backfield. He doesn’t have massive appeal, but you might need to slot in a mid-tier priced option this week.

DraftKings Showdown 2021- San Francisco @Tennessee Defenses and Kickers

I’d be happy taking the pieces for the 49ers, the defense and kicker are both options for this slate. The 49ers defense ($3,800) has been solid, and the Titans offense has really struggled to hit the highs it did in the early season. Equally, Robbie Gould ($4,400) has been solid. He has converted the vast majority of his kicks this season and should see a good number of opportunities in this game too.
