We are here to cover the 2022 DraftKings showdown slate for Thursday Night Football Week 10, Tennessee @Green Bay. On paper this seems to be obvious, the Titans are going to run it down the throat of the Packers, while Aaron Rodgers looks to pick the Titans secondary apart. The O/U has been set at 41, with the Packers currently favored by around a field goal.
DraftKings TNF Showdown 2022 – Tennesse @Green Bay Captain Picks
Derrick Henry ($17,400 Capt/ $11,600 Flex)
Henry is the most expensive player on the slate for good reason. The Packers defensive front have given up the 5th most yards on the ground in the league (1,406) and the Titans quite rightly feed Henry the ball. With the volume that he will get in the offense, and the production that will follow, he is a safe CPT option, even without a pass-catching role in the offense.
Aaron Jones ($16,800 Capt/ $11,200 Flex)
If you don’t want to go with Henry, then Jones is a decent pivot. On paper the Titans offense is great against the run, but if you look at their schedule they haven’t really met too many top-tier talent. Yes, they managed to limit Jonathan Taylor twice, but we’ve seen that that’s just as likely the Colts offense. When the Titans played against Saquon Barkley in Week 1, he had a great game. With Jones’ involvement in the offense as a pass-catcher, he has decent value on the slate.
Allen Lazard ($12,900 Capt/ $8,600 Flex)
Don’t want either RB? You can slot Lazard in and feel fine about it. When he is healthy he has shown he is a solid receiver for the team, and has a good target share in the offense. The Titans secondary really aren’t a unit that needs to be avoided. The price feels low for the fact he is the lead receiver for Aaron Rodgers. With upside with TDs too, he is a sneaky CPT pick, but a nailed flex option otherwise.
DraftKings TNF Showdown 2022 – Tennessee @Green Bay Flex Picks
Aaron Rodgers ($10,400 Flex)
Rodgers looked at his best last week, not throwing the ball too much, but making each throw count. That was against a tough defense too, who have really forced QBs to make bad decisions all season. Against the Titans pass rush, Rodgers should be able to have more time in the pocket. With his chemistry with his receivers improving, we could see the Packers use their aerial attack- why I like Jones as a pivot from Henry in this one.
Ryan Tannehill ($9,600 Flex)
I’m not going to have too much of Tannehill on the slate, just feels like an expensive option. The Titans offense are best when they are running the ball and as a result, Tannehill has only thrown for more than 200 yards three times, and equally only thrown multiple TDs three times too. Has some rushing (vulture) upside, but overall not worth considering too highly.
Christian Watson ($7,400 Flex)
Watson is going to be in alot of lineups after his blowup game against the Cowboys. As a result of his 8 targets, and four catches for 3 TDs game, I’m going to pivot to Lazard. Watson had a big game, but the rookie has only had 14 targets on the season until last week. Sure I’ll have some lineups with Watson, but there just isn’t a need for his big play’s in this one. Instead, the Packers can move the ball steadily upfield.
Robert Woods ($6,800 Flex)
Woods has the ability to have a good game. Or at least, I still believe he does- we just haven’t seen it with the Titans this season. The Titans offense isn’t a good fit for Woods, who has operated as a possession receiver. WIth Tannehill struggling to throw the ball along with the weight of rushing in this offense, I’m not going to have too many lineups with Woods in it.
AJ Dillon ($6,600 Flex)
Dillon has really struggled to make an impact this season. He is getting touches out of the backfield, but he isn’t getting the production to match. Infact, he has only scored a single TD on 111 carries. That screams positive TD regression. There is no doubt that Aaron Jones is the lead back here, especially as a pass catcher, but Dillon has appeal as a pivot from Jones.
Nick Westbrook-Ikhine ($6,200 Flex)
Westbrook-Ikhine was another receiver who blew up last week. Like Watson, I’m going to avoid him as a result. The offense just doesn’t support receivers reliably with how they value the running game. If he has a big game so be it. But I’m not going to have many shares of him at all.
Robert Tonyan ($5,800 Flex)
Tonyan feels like he is due a big game soon. He was previously a big part of the offense and has been building his role this season. He is getting targets, staying on the field longer, at some point that has to translate to production. Tonyan’s floor is, like most TEs, rock bottom. His upside is multiple TD scores with his big body in the redzone. I’m happy to mix him into my lineups this week.
Randall Cobb ($200 Flex)
This is the sneaky play that has the potential to pay off- you just need to keep an eye on injury reports. Cobb has been designated to return from his injury, which is why he is priced at the minimum on the slate. Doesn’t have to do anything of note to hit value at the slate, but is likely to be put straight back into the slot receiver role for the Packers.
DraftKings TNF Showdown 2022 – Tennessee @Green Bay Kickers and DSTs
Anything can happen, and it might be that one or both of these defenses force a turnover and get into the endzone. I just don’t have enough confidence in either DST to do enough to make me want to put either in my lineups. The Titans DST ($4,400) has forced more turnovers and managed to record more sacks this season than the Packers DST ($3,800), so if you really want to go for one that would be the team I would go for. I mean, you can’t sack Tannehill if he is handing the ball to Henry, and Henry protects the ball well….
The kickers are both inplay Josh Lambo ($4,200) has been activated for the Titans, and is currently the starter going into tonight’s game. Lambo hasn’t kicked a ball all season, last kicking in Week 3 of the 2021 season. As a result, I’d opt for Mason Crosby ($4,000) who has been kicking well this season, missing 3 of his 13 FG attempts. The floor for both is solid at the price.
