DraftKings TNF Showdown 2024 – Dallas @New York

Ready to dominate the 2024 DraftKings Showdown slate for this NFC East clash of Dallas @New York? Whether you’re locking in a star like CeeDee Lamb as your captain or searching for value plays like Wan’Dale Robinson, there’s a lot to dissect in this matchup.

This game could turn into a classic divisional battle, with Dallas leaning on Dak Prescott and their potent offense, while the Giants will look to Malik Nabers and Devin Singletary to lead their charge. Expect New York’s defense to be aggressive, trying to contain Lamb and force Prescott into mistakes. On the flip side, the Cowboys’ defense will aim to put pressure on Daniel Jones, making it a showdown packed with intrigue on both sides of the ball.

DraftKings TNF Showdown 2024 – Dallas @New York Captain Picks

CeeDee Lamb ($17,700 Capt/ $11,800 Flex)

Lamb is the clear alpha in the Cowboys’ passing game, and this matchup against a banged-up Giants secondary sets up perfectly for him to shine. Lamb’s ability to dominate from the slot will be key, especially with New York dealing with injuries to their slot corner. Expect Dak Prescott to pepper him with targets early and often, making Lamb a top Captain pick. His ceiling is immense, and he should be involved regardless of game script. Whether Dallas builds a lead or is forced to play catch-up, Lamb is locked in for a big night.

Malik Nabers ($16,200 Capt/ $10,800 Flex)

The Giants’ new star receiver, Malik Nabers, is coming into this game hot. His combination of size, speed, and hands has made him a go-to target for Daniel Jones. If Darius Slayton remains sidelined, Nabers could see an even larger target share, giving him elite upside. Dallas’ secondary has struggled at times this season, especially if they cannot generate pressure. Nabers’ big-play ability makes him a strong Captain option, especially if you believe the Giants will be forced to pass frequently to keep up with the Cowboys.

Devin Singletary ($12,300 Capt/ $8,200 Flex)

Devin Singletary is the workhorse back for the Giants, and his volume alone makes him a decent captain pick. Singletary has seen a solid workload, but what really makes him interesting is his involvement in the passing game. If the Cowboys get out to a lead, expect Singletary to see even more targets as a checkdown option for Daniel Jones. While Dallas’ run defense has been shaky, Singletary’s dual-threat ability (and lack of options behind him) ensures he’ll stay involved, regardless of game flow.

Jake Ferguson ($10,500 Capt/ $7,000 Flex)

Ferguson is a reliable target for Dak Prescott, particularly in the red zone. With defenses keying in on CeeDee Lamb, Ferguson can find space and capitalize on short-yardage opportunities. The Giants defense weakness is in their passing game, making Ferguson a solid Captain pick for DFS players looking to differentiate their lineups. His lower price allows for flexibility to load up on higher-priced flex options, making him an intriguing contrarian play.

DraftKings TNF Showdown 2024 – Dallas @New York Flex Picks

Dak Prescott ($9,400 Flex)

Prescott remains the engine that drives Dallas’ offense, and while his performances have been a bit inconsistent this season, the matchup against a Giants defense that can be vulnerable through the air puts him in a great spot. Prescott’s mobility adds a rushing floor, and if New York can’t generate pressure, he’ll have plenty of time to find CeeDee Lamb, Jake Ferguson, and his other weapons. Given his reasonable price tag for a quarterback, Prescott is a strong flex option, and he pairs perfectly with any of his receiving targets.

Daniel Jones ($9,400 Flex)

Is Jones better? Or does he finally have an effective receiving weapon? At this stage of the season, it’s not exactly clear BUT he has thrown for 2 two TDs in each of his past two games (and only one turnover in that time). We haven’t seen that rushing ability this season though, and he has historically struggled against the Cowboys in his career.

Brandon Cooks ($6,800 Flex)

Cooks hasn’t exploded yet this season, but his big-play potential is always lurking. In a game where New York might focus on stopping Lamb, Cooks could find himself open for deep shots. His speed and ability to stretch the field make him a boom-or-bust play, but at this price, he’s worth the risk, especially if you think Prescott will take advantage of the Giants’ depleted secondary.

Rico Dowdle ($6,400 Flex)

Dowdle’s ability to contribute in both the running and passing game makes him an interesting flex play. If Dallas takes a lead and leans on the run to kill the clock, Dowdle could see more touches than expected. At his price, he’s a solid value play for those looking to differentiate their lineups without breaking the bank.

Ezekiel Elliot ($6,200 Flex)

His days as the workhorse back may be behind him, he’s still playing a significant role in short-yardage and goal-line situations. In his last game, Elliott rushed three times for six yards, averaging just 2.0 yards per carry. Elliott remains a touchdown threat near the goal line, giving him value in a showdown slate where Dallas could see multiple red-zone opportunities.

Jalen Tolbert ($5,800 Flex)

Tolbert has shown flashes of his potential but hasn’t quite broken out yet this season. However, his involvement in the Cowboys’ offense is growing, and with Brandin Cooks still struggling to find consistency, Tolbert could see an increase in targets. He’s a risky play, but his price reflects that risk, making him a great option if you’re looking to differentiate your lineup in larger GPP tournaments. If the Cowboys start slinging the ball, Tolbert could emerge as a sneaky value play

Wan’Dale Robinson ($4,800 Flex)

Robinson has quietly become a reliable option for Daniel Jones, especially in short-yardage situations. He doesn’t have the explosive playmaking ability of Malik Nabers or Darius Slayton, but his quickness and route-running make him a solid chain-mover. Robinson’s ability to rack up receptions and yards after the catch makes him an intriguing value play, especially if Slayton is limited or out for this game. If you’re looking for a safe flex play with upside, Robinson fits the bill.

Dart Throw Plays (Various)

Here are a few dart plays to round out your lineup. These are high-risk, high-reward picks best suited for GPPs—not for cash games:

  • KaVontae Turpin (WR, DAL) $4,000 Flex – While Turpin’s offensive role is expanding, his primary value remains in the return game, where he’s racked up 165 total return yards and a punt-return touchdown in Week 1. With Brandin Cooks struggling, Turpin could continue to see increased targets, making him an intriguing low-priced option for DFS players looking for upside.
  • Darius Slayton (WR, NYG) $3,200 Flex – Slayton is currently questionable for Thursday’s matchup against the Cowboys due to a thumb injury that has limited him in practice all week. While he remains a potential deep-threat option for Daniel Jones, the uncertainty around his status makes him a risky DFS play.
  • Tyrone Tracy Jr. (RB, NYG) $2,400 Flex – Tracy’s dual-threat ability and increasing involvement make him a sneaky flex play, especially if the Giants fall behind and need to use him more in the passing game. His snap count is on the rise, and he played 31% of the Giants’ offensive snaps last week.
  • Daniel Bellinger (TE, NYG) $1,600 Flex – Bellinger’s role in the Giants’ offense has been minimal, with the tight end primarily being used as a blocker. Bellinger’s low involvement in the passing game and blocking-first role make him a low-ceiling option in DFS lineups.
  • Luke Schoonmaker (TE, DAL) $1,000 Flex – His primary contribution comes in run blocking, and without much chemistry with Dak Prescott, his fantasy upside is limited, especially if Ferguson remains healthy and commands the majority of tight end targets.
  • Jalin Hyatt (WR, NYG) $600 Flex – Hyatt hasn’t seen much playing time after losing out to Darius Slayton in the Giants’ receiver pecking order, but with Slayton questionable for this game, the wideout could see more opportunities.

DraftKings TNF Showdown 2024 – Dallas @New York Kickers and DSTs

Brandon Aubrey ($5,000) has been lights out this season, going 10-for-10 on field goals and converting all five of his extra-point attempts. He’s already made a name for himself with a massive 65-yard field goal – the longest in Cowboys history and second longest in NFL history. Dubbed the “Steph Curry of kickers,” Aubrey’s range and accuracy make him a solid DFS play in this divisional matchup against the Giants, where field goals could be crucial. Greg Joseph ($4,400) steps in as the Giants’ kicker with Graham Gano sidelined due to injury. In his team debut, Joseph converted all three of his extra points but missed his only field goal attempt from 48 yards. While not as reliable as Gano, Joseph provides stability for a Giants team that went without a kicker in Week 2. His upside is capped by how frequently the Giants can get into field goal range. If this turns into a low-scoring, defensive game, Joseph could be worth a look as a value play.

Cowboys DST ($5,400) has been a mixed bag, struggling against the run (29th in rushing yards allowed before contact) but excelling in the pass rush, thanks to Micah Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence. Dallas ranks near the bottom in expected points allowed per run play, but their pass defense remains solid, especially if they can get an early lead and force the Giants into passing situations. With a decent corner in DaRon Bland and the ability to apply pressure, the Cowboys’ defense is a viable play, but they’ll need to overcome their issues against the run to truly shine in this matchup. Giants DST ($3,600) is anchored by Dexter Lawrence, a dominant force in the interior who clogs up running lanes. Paired with safety Jason Pinnock, who has been aggressive in applying pressure, the Giants have the tools to make life difficult for Dak Prescott. They did an excellent job containing the Browns’ ground game in Week 2 and will look to replicate that success against Dallas. This unit also produced key turnovers last week and will aim to do the same against a Cowboys offense that can be prone to mistakes. If you’re banking on a gritty, defensive battle, the Giants DST offers solid value at this price.
