Notable Players- Kyler Murray

Murray is looking unlikely to start the season, which really kills his fantasy value for drafts. I’d be ok to look to add him as a waiver add, or a bench stash in a deep league, but it’s hard to look at him to be a QB1 for the whole of this season.

It’s not really very interesting looking at taking a backup too, given the struggles this offense had last season and the lack of talent brought in.

Notable Players- James Conner, Keaontay Ingram & Corey Clement

This backfield is Conner’s. Infact to start the season, Conner could well be this entire offense. There should be plenty of volume for Conner, with Ingram and Clement likely to only get the scraps that remain. Conner should continue in his role as the goal-line back in the offense too, but with the likely struggles of the team this season, that could be limited opportunity to score.

Ingram and Clement aren’t worth considering in part-time players in the backfield on a struggling offense.

Notable Players- Marquise Brown, Rondale Moore, Greg Dortch & Michael Wilson

The Cardinals let alot of talent walk out the door when they decided to let Hopkins leave. That has left Brown as the ‘alpha’ receiver in this group, and that doesn’t exactly fill me with confidence. He has only managed to record a single season with over 1,000 yards, and could be struggling with QB play to start the season. He could end up being productive as he should get a healthy target share, but the ceiling isn’t really there on a struggling offense.

Outside of Brown, the team have Moore and Dortch as veterans. Moore has struggled to stay healthy during his time in the league, but has been a boom-bust player for fantasy. I’m fine with a late-round shot on him, especially as his style of play doesn’t really rely on top-tier QB talent to be successful. There is a similar story for Dortch too, who had some nice games last season. Dortch’s issue was that he was buried on the depth chart. That’s not going to be a struggle this season though, with Hopkins, Anderson and Green all leaving. As a result, in PPR leagues, Dortch could be a decent late-round selection.

Wilson is another dart-throw on this offense. As written in his profile, he has a good opportunity to become the lead receiver for the Cardinals. But, if there were one player that would really struggle with sub-par QB play, it is going to be Wilson.

Notable Players- Zach Ertz & Trey McBride

This tight end group could end up being one of the better duos in the league come the end of the season. Ertz has really been effective when he has been on the field for the Cardinals, operating as one of the more reliable receivers on the team. The question mark on the QB shouldn’t hurt him too much either, as a big-bodied veteran he should be able to survive- especially if he sees an uptick in targets.

McBride is the future, with a decent end to his rookie season. Its obviously a tiny sample size, but his performances to end the season (without Kyler Murray throwing the ball) point towards McBride being able to make plays with sub-par QBs, which is the likely start to the season with the Cardinals.
