Notable Players- Lamar Jackson

Jackson coming back with the Ravens has been a long time coming. He asked for top-tier money, and now needs to back that up. He has been a great runner in the NFL, now with new OC Todd Monken, it’s time to show his arm talent. The Ravens brought in Odell Beckham through free agency, and added Zay Flowers in the first round of the draft. Jackson is actually yet to play a full season since he was drafted, and has only thrown for more than 3,000 yards once. The ability to throw for more is there, and Jackson should be a comfortable QB1 this season.

Notable Players- J.K. Dobbins & Gus Edwards

Dobbins season was hit by complications to the knee injury he picked during the 2021 preseason. That injury led him to not really do too much for fantasy until Week 13, when he ran for 120 yards and a score. With more time passed, Dobbins should once again be the leader out of the backfield, and is a nice solid RB2 who will have some big weeks.

Edwards can’t be overlooked either. Historically, with how often and effective the team ran the ball, he had some flex appeal in lineups. While alot has been made of the pass attempts set to increase this season with the new OC and additional receiving talent, Edwards should still see plenty of touches on the ground.

Notable Players- Rashod Bateman, Odell Beckham & Zay Flowers

The Ravens have made a point to add firepower to their receiving group this offseason, and made noise that they were going to be using Lamar Jackson’s arm this season.

Bateman looks set to be the primary option of the receivers group, the issue for him is that he hasn’t been healthy in the two years he has been in the league. Infact, he has only played 18 games in the two years he has been in the league. But, when he has been on the field he has shown his ability to make plays. 

Odell Beckham missed last season through injury, and certainly isn’t the same receiver that we saw in his early years with the Giants, but he is still an effective player. He is going to have some big games and some duds, but he looks set to return to the field to start the season and worth considering in later rounds.

Zay Flowers fits into this Ravens offense well, and is likely (I believe) to be the WR2 for the team at the end of the season, but I don’t know if that production comes at the start of the season- or consistently.

Notable Players- Mark Andrews & Isaiah Likely

I’m not quite sure on Andrews this season. He has shown the ability to be a top-level TE for fantasy previously, but his role is inconsistent overall. In 2019 he was a TD machine, two years later he had a huge receptions and yardage season. Last season he didn’t really manage either (albeit he missed time). As a result of that, I’m not as set on Andrews for fantasy this season. For the record, I’m not saying that he is a dud- I just don’t know if he will return value on his ADP.

Part of that reason is the emergence of Likely in the offense. He had some real duds last season as he played second fiddle to Andrews in the offense, he had some nice games though and ended the second third on the team in targets. Likely doesn’t really have standalone value, but he is going to impact  what Andrews manages to do this season.
