Notable Players- Josh Allen

Allen is truly elite. He has the arm strength to make any throw needed and has moved past the bad decisions that plagued his early career. Combined with his ability to make plays on the ground too, including in the redzone, and there is nothing that really makes me think that Allen would struggle for fantasy this season. Infact, we could see him take a step forward with the addition of rookie Dalton Kincaid, who had plenty of admirers during the draft process.

Notable Players- James Cook, Damien Harris & Nyheim Hines

This backfield will be interesting to see play out. The Bills offensive line is decent enough to open up gaps, and the team are a high-scoring offense. The issue (as always) will be the fact that the goal line back for the Bills is their QB!

Cook was effective down the stretch as a nice, efficient change-of-pace option, making some big plays but disappearing for long periods too. I think by season’s end this will be his backfield. The front office haven’t really made a big move this offseason to bring in competition, with Singletary being replaced with Damien Harris and Latavius Murray.

Harris lost his workload out of the backfield in a struggling Patriots offense, ultimately staying in the division with the Bills. I think he is most likely to fill a volume role to start the season, before doing the same thing and losing the backfield to a younger (and more dynamic) player. I’ll take him late in drafts, but I’m not expecting too much- especially with the lack of involvement in the passing game.

It’s not really been a great time recently for Hines. He started the season on a struggling Colts side, before being traded mid-season to the Bills. He never really did too much of note, ultimately only having an impact on special teams. You can’t draft him outside of a massively deep league (and I mean DEEP).

Latavius Murray I’m not interested in, I can’t really see him being part of the active roster this season, unless we see Harris really struggle in preseason.

Notable Players- Stefon Diggs & Gabriel Davis

Now, there are going to be other receivers that spring up during the season for the Bills. But, given the uncertainty they have over their WR3 and their investment in a dynamic, pass-catching TE it’s hard to see beyond Diggs and Davis- especially at draft time.

Diggs is an easy elite receiver, with a massive target share as the primary option for the offense through the air. His importance to the offense, in making highlight catches as well as being a dependable play to move th chains is massively important to the success of the Bills offense. Outside of injury, he is a WR1 this season. 

Davis is the classic boom-or-bust play, as he always has. It’s a hard decision every week as to whether you include him in your lineup- he can near enough win you a week (like his Week 5 171 yard, 2TD game) or kill you with a single 13 yard reception.

Notable Players- Dawson Knox & Dalton Kincaid

This Bills duo are going to be an interesting pair. Knox has been the traditional ‘big-body’ TE working effectively in the redzone. Kincaid was a player that got alot of attention during the draft process and the Bills moved up in the draft for. With the way that the Bills run their offense, both of them could on the field plenty. 

Knox struggled last year for fantasy, as his TD number came down a little. But in context it was a decent season, Knox was dealing with issues all season which surely had an effect on his performances. Last year I said that he was going to bust, this year after a poor season and Kincaid’s arrival he could be worth picking up as a TE lottery pick.

Kincaid has a decent amount of hype behind him, but he is still a rookie TE- and they only really succeed in very specific circumstances which don’t exist here. As a result, I’m not looking to add him. The only way I could see it happening is if the coaching staff announce and confirm that Kincaid is essentially going to be on the field for the vast majority of snaps as the ‘third-receiver’. But even then, I can’t really see you feeling comfortable in starting him too often at the start of the season.
