Notable Players- Dak Prescott

Prescott feels like a hard player to consider for fantasy this season. There is no doubt that he is highly talented, and he has some great receiving weapons around him. However, he is also going to have alot of upheaval in the offense, with a number of pieces moving on. That’s before you consider that he will have to deal without Kellen Moore calling plays. He will have a safe floor, due to the players around him, but his ceiling is impacted for me.

Notable Players- Tony Pollard

This backfield has now lost Elliott, with him being released by the team this offseason. With the performances of Pollard at the end of last season, an increase in opportunity should be good for the franchise-tagged Pollard. His ability to hold a full workload over a season is in question, but he should be able to continue to be involved in the passing game, which should help his floor. I have a feeling that the hype is becoming too strong now, but he should still have a decent season this year.

Notable Players- CeeDee Lamb, Brandin Cooks & Michael Gallup

Lamb should be a WR1 this season, even if this offense takes a step backward with a new OC. The volume of targets he gets, and his ability, should mean fantasy value will follow. It would take something big happening to him for him not to finish as a WR1 this season. Even last season, where Prescott was forced to miss time, he dragged the offense forward through the air.

New addition Brandin Cooks is an interesting signing. Working as the secondary receiver for the Cowboys should give him room to operate, and despite bouncing around the league, there is no doubt that Cooks is a talented receiver. Even in a poor Texans offense, he had 1,000 yard seasons. With an improved offense, and QB, that level of performance is a realistic outcome for the veteran here. Should be a solid flex option most weeks.

Gallup I feel like is just not going to be that breakout talent that was hoped for. Coming into last season he had health concerns, and now he has to work with a new OC and being pushed out to the WR3 in the offense. No doubt he is going to flash at times this season, but I don’t think I’ll be drafting him. Instead I’ll leave him out on the waiver wire.

Notable Players- Luke Schoonmaker

Schoonmaker should have the opportunity to get on the field, but there are alot of mouths to feed here. In my projections I think I’ve given his absolute ceiling, but a rookie TE typically struggles in the NFL for fantasy.
