Notable Players- Jordan Love

Well……the Rodgers era is over, and Love is going to be the starter. It’s hard to really know what he is going to be able to do leading this offense, as in the time he has been with the team he has only thrown 50 passes. One thing is for sure, this offense is now built around youth, with a number of the offensive pieces being early in their career. Love is worth a shot in deep or Superflex leagues, but this could be a season of struggle for the ‘rookie’ in this offense.

Notable Players- Aaron Jones & AJ Dillon

This backfield is actually the most experienced part of the Packers offense this season, and will need to pull this team downfield if Love struggles to lead the offense.

Jones should again figure to be one of the leading receivers on the team, which should help give him a decent floor week to week. My concern is that the ceiling won’t be the same, as I’m expecting this offense to take a step back on the whole with a new (inexperienced) QB at the helm. With AJ Dillon given more goal line opportunities last season too, there is some concern around Jones having value at his ADP.

Dillon on the other hand I am happier about selecting with his ADP baking in a timeshare backfield, and his struggles last season. I have Dillon as the goal line back in this offense, and even with fewer scoring opportunities overall, he should be able to be a solid flex consideration week to week.

Notable Players- Christian Watson

This receiving group for me are a tough one to really strongly consider for fantasy this season. We have a new and inexperienced rookie QB, and a group of receivers that are inexperienced in the whole. To put it clearly, Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs are the veterans in this room with just over 500 snaps each in the NFL.

With Watson already having an outlier season last year with Rodgers airing the ball deep, I’m struggling to have confidence in drafting any of these receivers. 

Notable Players- Luke Musgrave

The TE room is another group that has alot of young faces, with Josiah Deguara the veteran in the room. Again, as a result of the lack of veteran ‘reliable’ options here and an inexperienced group it’s hard to really project one player to be anything other that waiver wire fodder. Of the whole group I’d lean to Musgrave, who should be on the field to start the season.
