Notable Players- Anthony Richardson

The Colts for the past few seasons have been rotating veterans to lead their offense, but gave up on that this offseason when they let Matt Ryan and Nick Foles leave, and drafted in Richardson. I don’t know what to expect from Richardson as an individual. He was an inconsistent passer in college, but he has the ability to run effectively out of the pocket and should be able to move the ball effectively on the ground. 

It’s hard to take him with confidence in drafts. But, I’d take a flier on him late in drafts, and see if he runs effectively in the NFL or not.

Notable Players- Jonathan Taylor & Zack Moss

Taylor really didn’t hit the highs of previous seasons, as he struggled with injury and being part of a really struggling offense. This year though, I think he falls somewhere in the middle. The offense surely gets better than it was last year, even with a rookie needing to find his feet. A secondary runner in Richardson from the QB position should mean that there are more gaps for Taylor.

Moss was traded mid-season and shouldn’t really see a large role in this offense, with Taylor able to shoulder a healthy workload. Not worth rostering outside of the deepest leagues, as he won’t have value outside of an injury to Taylor, and even then we could see the backfield split.

Notable Players- Michael Pittman, Alex Pierce & Isaiah McKenzie

Pittman is the clear (maybe only?) receiver of note for the Colts. Since entering the league, he has grown season after season, and had some good games last year even with the offense struggling as much as he did and getting double-teamed. Richardson might struggle to pass the ball, but Pittman should see plenty of targets and as we have seen, he can perform effectively for fantasy.

Pierce was very hit-or-miss last year, but was able to show his talent on the field. If the offense can protect the ball more effectively, that should take the pressure off the team and give him some PPR value in deeper leagues.

Isaiah McKenzie was an effective signing from the Bills and should offer a bit of a veteran presence in the team. McKenzie was a red-zone weapon for the Bills working out of the slot. His presence is likely to dampen expectations for rookie Josh Downs, who profiles as a slot receiver.

Notable Players- Mo Alie-Cox

Alie-Cox is likely to have another season where he blows up for one week then disappears. The TE position for the Colts is a tough one to navigate as the team rotate through their options constantly during the season. Hard to even trust Alie-Cox as a streaming option in deep leagues.
