Notable Players- Jimmy Garoppolo

The ‘panic’ over Garoppolo’s health is over after he passed his medical, so unless something drastic happens he is going to be the starting QB for the Raiders. Garoppolo is that standard game-managing QB, so doesn’t have real fantasy value outside of superflex leagues. But, he should be a safe pair of hands for others fantasy value in this offense.

Notable Players- Josh Jacobs

Will he play? Or will he sit out? Personally, I think he will play. The market for running backs is awful, and with free agents like Leonard Fournette and Kareem Hunt still available on the market, Jacobs doesn’t really have a lot of leverage here. If he plays, he is going to get a healthy workload in this offense.

If he doesn’t, this is likely to be a shared backfield which isn’t going to be massively high-powered. So I wouldn’t look to draft anyone else here too highly

Notable Players- Davante Adams, Jakobi Meyers & Hunter Renfrow

Adams is an elite receiver, and with the volume that he should get in this offense his fantasy outlook will be fine for this season. Simply, Adams transcends the ability of his QB, able to get separation even in double teams, he is going to see plenty of the ball.

Meyers comes in as a nice secondary receiver from the Patriots, so should know this offense well. He doesn’t have a massive upside in this offense, given the chunk that Adams takes out. But, in PPR leagues he could be a solid flex option with the odd week of WR2 value if he has a big game.

Renfrow this season has a chance to have a bit of a bump in value. The Raiders moved on TE Darren Waller this offseason, and he was a competitor for targets in the offense- especially out of the slot. I don’t think he is really worth rostering outside of really deep PPR leagues, but he could be worth keeping an eye on to start the league.

Notable Players- Michael Mayer

Mayer was selected in the second round of the draft, but was expected to go in the first round. The Raiders let Darren Waller move on, which should give Mayer a nice path to the field, as he should beat out veteran Austin Hooper for the starting job. That being said, this offense isn’t going to be a high-powered unit, and rookie TEs struggle for fantasy. Mayer has nice dynasty value, but doesn’t have a great redraft outlook this season.
