Notable Players- Matthew Stafford, Stetson Bennett, Brett Rypien

Stafford was a solid option when he was healthy last season, and if he stays healthy this season he should be a solid QB2 again. This offense is still run by McVay, and that carries weight. But Stafford is aging and the offensive weapons on this team are also getting older and/or limited players.

Stetson is an intriguing option as a stash in Dynasty leagues. He has an inside track to being the primary backup as his only competition is Brett Rypien. And, if he impresses this offseason and in any limited opportunity during the season, he could be the heir apparent in this offense. We’ve seen McVay be able to make “JAG” quarterbacks look good. But by the time Stetson has the opportunity to take the starting job, this whole team will need an overhaul.

Notable Players- Cam Akers, Kyren Williams, Zach Evans, Sony Michel

Akers finished the season on a tear, getting workhorse-like volume in the final few games. While that volume came out of necessity, Akers looked significantly better post-Achilles tear. But I wouldn’t call Akers a lock for a workhorse role next season as Kyren Williams and Zach Evans will be fighting for touches. Kyren didn’t show anything eye-popping last season, but Zach Evans could be a dynamic playmaker if he shows the upside he had in college. Sony Michel is purely injury insurance and probably on the roster bubble.

Notable Players- Cooper Kupp, Van Jefferson, Ben Skowronek, Puka Nacua, Tutu Atwell

Cooper Kupp is a stud wide receiver, and despite only playing 9 full games, he still finished as the WR23 in total points and on a points per game basis was the WR1. Despite entering his age-30 season, I expect Kupp to once again be borderline elite this season. He’s a great add for a contender that is looking for that short-term boost and a great target in Redraft.

Van Jefferson is just a guy honestly, failing to reach 1,000 yards in his first three seasons despite injuries and opportunity around him. Tutu Atwell has failed to gain a role in this offense over two years. Ben Skowronek had a few interesting games last season but is just a waiver-wire/watch-list guy. Puka Nacua is the intriguing option as he was a very productive player out of BYU with a former four-star pedigree as a recruit. He is a fun fit next to Cooper Kupp as he can play all over the field whether that’s in the slot, on the outside, or even lined up in the backfield taking handoffs. He’s a fifth-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, so temper expectations, but the upside is there.

Notable Players- Tyler Higbee, Hunter Long, Davis Allen, Brycen Hopkins

Tyler Higbee has been a consistent presence in fantasy football for a while now and probably won some people championships on his 2019 tear to end the season. Last season he finished as the TE6 in total points and TE10 in points per game. He’s a solid and reliable option, but that’s about it as he also enters his age-30 season. Hunter Long, Davis Allen, and Brycen Hopkins are all decent receivers at the tight end position and have some upside to eventually be the Higbee successor. But by the time Higbee is replaced, this offense could look completely different. They’re watchlist guys in Dynasty, but probably not worth keeping an eye on in Redraft.
