The Vikings are once again knocking on the door of being a real Super Bowl contender, but they once again feel like they’re just not quite there. There’s some real talent on this team with, arguably, the best wide receiver in the league in Justin Jefferson. Not to mention first-round rookie Jordan Addison, TJ Hockenson who was a target hog last year, and Kirk Cousins, a consistent presence at quarterback.

Draft Recap

The Vikings wasted no time in drafting their Adam Theilen replacement with the 24th pick in the NFL Draft. Following that pick, they attacked the defense until taking a shot on Jaren Hall, the quarterback out of BYU, in the fifth. Then in the seventh, they grabbed DeWayne McBride, who suddenly has a shot at a significant role with the Dalvin Cook departure.
