Notable Players- Derek Carr, Jameis Winston, Jake Haener

Derek Carr is a constant in fantasy football. He’s been a consistent high-end quarterback nearly every year in his career and I fully expect that to continue with the Saints in an offense with very similar weapons. Winston will be a top-tier quarterback handcuff and Haener is unfortunately buried on this depth chart behind two veterans in the league.

Notable Players- Alvin Kamara, Jamaal Williams, Kendre Miller

It seems inevitable that Alvin Kamara will be suspended, it’s just a question of how long. That means it’ll be Jamaal Williams and Kendre Miller carrying the load while Kamara is suspended and it’ll probably be a timeshare between the two. Williams is a middling player that can vulture touchdowns at an elite level. And while Miller will have an opportunity to overtake Williams, he has his own limitations to his game and it hurts that he hasn’t shown the ability to take over passing down roles. Additionally, he’s starting the offseason on the NFI (non-football injury) list. 

When Kamara comes back, despite his age, he’s going to be the lead back, rendering probably both Williams and Miller lacking for fantasy reasons. That is unless one can become the clearcut RB2. If that happens, we’ve seen the RB2 in this backfield be fantasy relevant. When Kamara is on the field, he’ll probably be a high-end RB2 for the season.

Notable Players- Chris Olave, Michael Thomas, Rashid Shaheed, AT Perry

Chris Olave is already a top-12 dynasty wide receiver after just his rookie season. With Derek Carr throwing him the ball instead of Andy Dalton, he should see a boost in the quality of targets and overall offensive opportunities. I expect him to be a top-tier option this season, pushing for top-12 production on a weekly basis.

Michael Thomas is an intriguing option as he hasn’t strung together a healthy season since his WR1 overall finish in 2019. But when he has played, he’s still been an elite fantasy producer. If you’re willing to roll the dice on his injury risks, it could pay off massive dividends as there isn’t a real second target in this offense. Shaheed is a fun flier option in Dynasty that came along toward the end of last season. Finally, AT Perry is another intriguing deep stash in Dynasty leagues as there really isn’t much depth in this wide receiving core behind Olave other than undrafted second-year player Shaheed and the injury-riddled Michael Thomas.

Notable Players- Juwan Johnson, Foster Moreau, Taysom Hill

The Taysom Hill experiment seems like it’s coming to an end, but I fully expect him to still vulture a few touchdowns here and there. Juwan Johnson though is a really interesting option as his points per game were just over 8 points per game in his third season in the league. It was a mini breakout as he finished as the TE8 in 2022. With Derek Carr joining the team, we’ve seen a history of Carr targeting the tight end position, making Johnson an intriguing cheap tight end option. 

Moreau has been a great tight-end handcuff behind Darren Waller when they were both with the Raiders. Carr and Moreau will have a connection and I expect Moreau to get on the field in two tight end sets. While Moreau has a non-zero chance of taking over the job, I don’t expect Moreau to get the targets to be fantasy relevant unless Juwan Johnson goes down.
