Notable Players- Kenny Pickett, Mitch Trubisky, Mason Rudolph

Kenny Pickett is entering his second NFL season and all eyes are on him to take that next step in his development. He had a solid rookie debut, but there is obviously a lot of room for improvement. He’s surrounded by a strong supporting cast with Diontae Johnson, George Pickens, Allen Robinson, Pat Freiermuth, and Najee Harris. He just has to get the ball into these playmakers’ hands. 

Trubisky and Rudolph are purely backups fighting for the QB2 role in this offense.

Notable Players- Najee Harris, Jaylen Warren, Anthony McFarland

Najee Harris is a bonafide workhorse, which is rare to find in today’s NFL. He may not be the most efficient with those touches, but we follow volume for fantasy football. He’s been over 250 carries and over 50 targets in the past two seasons, and there is no reason to suggest that he will regress. If Pickett takes a step forward, we can imagine more red zone touches and hopefully more efficiency as the defense can’t load the box. 

Warren is an excellent handcuff in this offense, but McFarland is probably just an emergency back that will play special teams.

Notable Players- Diontae Johnson, George Pickens, Allen Robinson

We all saw it in the past two seasons, Allen Robinson is probably washed until further notice. So, let’s go right into the fantasy-relevant guys in Johnson and Pickens. We saw the blueprint last year, Johnson will continue to be the target hog with his elite separation abilities and Pickens will be the big-bodied field stretcher. I expect Diontae to see some touchdown regression and score more than 0 touchdowns as this offense improves. I also hope to see Pickens improve as an intermediate and underneath route runner and separator. But as it stands, these two have very defined skill sets and roles in this offense and both are WR2s for fantasy.

Notable Players- Pat Freiermuth, Darnell Washington

It shouldn’t be understated how impressive Pat Freiermuth has been over his first two seasons in the NFL. Nearly 500 receiving yards as a rookie and then over 700 yards as a second-year player is not common for the tight end position. He’s clearly in the mix with Diontae and Pickens as focal points in this offense and could see a big jump as this offense becomes more efficient in Pickett’s second year. Plus, Freiermuth isn’t done developing, there’s room for improvement in his game as well. 

Darnell Washington is a better blocker than receiver at this stage in his career. There is room for development as he is naturally athletic and a massive human being. He’ll be deployed in jumbo sets and be utilized as a blocker right away. And I would be surprised not to see him utilized as a receiver in a red zone out of those jumbo sets. But I wouldn’t expect any high yardage totals out of Washington anytime soon, making him very volatile for fantasy purposes.
