The year is 2023 and stacks are becoming a popular discussion in fantasy football. Of course, everyone would love the Mahomes, Burrow, and Josh Allen Stacks. The problem is, those stacks are expensive and you’re spending a 1st and 2nd round pick to acquire that. Instead of spending high draft capital on the elite stacks. Here are the 4 stacks that stand out as potential game-changers, that won’t cost you high draft capital. Let’s take a closer look at four such stacks that could lead you to the promised land in 2023.
Tua Tagovailoa & Tyreek Hill: Explosive Potential
There is not much else that we need to say, other than the potential for explosive plays between the two in Miami is evident. Hill ended the previous season as the WR2 in fantasy football despite missing his QB1 for a portion of the games in 2022. Even without Tua, Tyreek was still delivering fantasy points consistently – and it did not matter who was under center in Miami. If both Tua and Hill remain healthy for the whole season, Hill’s WR1 overall upside combined with Tua’s throwing ability could lead to a terrifying stack to face week in and week out.
Current ADP according to Sleeper & ESPN:
Tua Tagovailoa: 89 on Sleeper and 106 on ESPN
Tyreek Hill: 6 on Both ESPN & Sleeper
Justin Herbert & Keenan Allen: Rising from Adversity
Quarterback Justin Herbert and wide receiver Keenan Allen of the Los Angeles Chargers are poised to create a winning fantasy football stack this season. With new offensive coordinator, Kellen Moore, both Herbert and Allen coming off of the injuries in 2022, their potential is substantial. Despide missing the first 10 weeks of the 2022 season to injury, Allen managed to finish as the WR9 according to the PFF player grades. His average of 18 points over the final 9 games goes to show his PPR scoring upside. While both players hold the injury history concerts, Keenan holds his WR1 upside combined with Herberts strong comeback season make this stack great value in the middle 5th and 6th rounds of drafts
Current ADP according to Sleeper & ESPN:
Keenan Allen: Sleeper 40, ESPN 39
Justin Herbert: Sleeper 47, ESPN 47
Aaron Rodgers & Garrett Wilson: Sophomore Breakout
Veteran and hall of fame Quarterback Aaron Rodgers aims to rejuvenate his career with the New York Jets, and he’s looking to do so by teaming up with sophomore wide receiver Garrett Wilson. Wilson is poised for a breakout season according to the fantasy community, after a rather impressive rookie season – accounting for poor quarterback play for most of the season. Wilson averaged 12.6 PPR fantasy points. Rodgers’ experience, combined with Wilson’s potential could make this a sleeper stack in most redraft leagues.
Current ADP according to Sleeper & ESPN:
Rodgers: 103 on Sleeper & 93 on ESPN
Garret Wilson: 19 on Sleeper & 18 on ESPN
Matthew Stafford & Cooper Kupp: Reuniting Success
In 2021, we saw one of the greatest performances from a wide receiver in fantasy football from Cooper Kupp. 2021 was the last time we saw Stafford and Kupp together, and we saw Kupp dominate the league with 439.50 PPR fantasy points, while Stafford had one of his best season finishes in the top 5 QBs with 346.74 points. Injuries in the 2022 season hindered their performance and dominance in fantasy football scoring. If both players remain healthy, the Stafford-Kupp duo could once again dominate the fantasy landscape. Stafford’s low ADP of 200 on Sleeper and 162 on ESPM makes this stack an enticing option since Stafford is almost free in most leagues
Current ADP according to Sleeper & ESPN:
Matthew Stafford – 200 on Sleeper & 162 on ESPN
Cooper Kupp – 7 on both ESPN & Sleeper
In conclusion, fantasy football stacks could ruin your weeks or they could revive your weeks. Stacks aren’t just any stacks though. You want to strategically pair your quarterbacks with their potential top wide receivers or tight ends. Fantasy managers can look forward to maximizing season. Whether you’re seeking reliability, breakout potential or high reward options, these stacks provide a range of choices to help you win your championships this year.
