Brock Purdy v ARI (£5,600)
The 49ers feel like they are just constantly ‘that team’. They can be without any number of starters, and still put up numbers. Purdy has been at the heart of what the team has done this season, and against the Cardinals secondary, he should be able to continue to be an effective fantasy option.
Tyler Huntley @NE (£4,200)
The Dolphins really need a performance to get their season back on track. The timing of facing the Patriots (even if it’s on the road) is pretty perfect. Huntley should be able to pay off this low salary here, and has potential to really break this slate with his dual-threat ability.
Also consider Joe Burrow v BAL (£5,600), Trevor Lawrence v IND (£5,000) & Daniel Jones @SEA (£4,800)
Rhamondre Stevenson v MIA (£5,600)
Stevenson hasn’t had a good start to the season, struggling to hold the football with a fumble in every game this season. But, let’s be honest- there aren’t really any other options for the Patriots. With the lack of options, Stevenson is surely going to be given another opportunity to run here.
Trey Sermon @JAX (£2,200)
Keep an eye on the injury reports for this one, but the expectation is that Jonathan Taylor isn’t going to be able to suit up here. As a result, you kinda have to eat this chalk. Min-price, but likely to be given the opportunity to lead the backfield against a Jags defense that has struggled to defend the position this season. You could get a bit more adventurous with Tyler Goodson (£2,200) but there isn’t much need to do so.
Also consider Jordan Mason v ARI (£6,200), D’Andre Swift v CAR (£4,600) & Jerome Ford @WAS (£4,400)
Tyreek Hill @NE (£5,600)
Hill is a great talent, but clearly has been struggling (as has the offense) with the change at QB. Getting a talent like his, on an offense like this, for this price tag is tough to turn down. Yes, it’s a risk. But, if you take it, his ownership is likely to be far lower than you’d expect for a man of his talent. Against a struggling Patriots secondary, he could blow up.
Brandon Aiyuk v ARI (£4,800)
For Purdy to succeed, it will need one of the 49ers receivers to perform. Aiyuk hasn’t had a huge game yet this season, but the Cardinals secondary is a unit that you can target. This game therefore gives him a good opportunity to perform here. With his lack of headline-grabbing too, could see lower ownership than you’d expect.
Michael Pittman Jr. @JAX (£4,400)
I’m more interested in Pittman if Joe Flacco ends up being the starting QB. The Colts under Anthony Richardson have given Pittman targets, and receptions, but they haven’t been downfield. But, Flacco has historically liked to hyper-target a receiver, and if they are big-bodied even better. Pittman fits that mould here. Nice target at the price.
Also consider Ja’Marr Chase v BAL (£6,200), Diontae Johnson @CHI (£5,000) & Amari Cooper @WAS (£5,000)
Mark Andrews @CIN (£2,200)
Is this the Mark Andrews farewell tour? Well, it doesn’t look great when you have only had six receptions for 65 yards through the first four weeks of the season. This matchup isn’t a great one on paper either. But, it feels like the type of game where Andrews could have a big game- divisional matchup on the road? Make a headline at min-price.
Also consider Mike Gesicki v BAL (£2,400) & Colby Parkinson v GB (£2,200)
