Calvin Ridley Signs With Titans - Fantasy Impact

The Titans didn’t wait long to bring in a receiver to lead their options for likely starter Will Levis next season. Ridley was the top receiver on the market, with a number of players signed to tags, and he signed a four-year $92m contract, with $50m guaranteed.

Ridley had a huge season in 2020, before missing time with bans and taking time away from the game. Ultimately, he was handed a fresh start with the Jaguars and worked as their lead outside receiver. He had some huge performances but also struggled with drops. Ultimately he finished the season with over 1,000 yards and had flashes of the Ridley of old.

The Titans new coach has managed to work and get the best of talented receivers with the Bengals. The question really will be the performances and ability of Will Levis to throw the ball. But, again, Callahan has worked with a younger QB in his career too.

I think Ridley could be an effective receiver for next season, as the Titans looks to change their identity on offense and air it out a little bit more. His exact value feels like he is likely a low-end WR2, or more likely a flex option week to week, with some upside weeks. For dynasty, a multi-year contract is nice, and he should have plenty of opportunity to perform in this offense. I’d say he has probably had a slight increase in value with this move
