D'Andre Swift Signs With Bears - Fantasy Impact

Swift has shown plenty of potential in his NFL career, but hasn’t hit the highs he is likely capable of (for fantasy at least). But, with the Bears, his second NFC North team in his career, he has the potential to perform.

Swift had a decent season for the Eagles, with over 1,000 yards on the ground and 214 yards through the air. The issue is that he didn’t find the endzone, as the team were able to have great success with their ‘tush push’. As a result of Swift’s performances, he didn’t last on free agency for long before being snapped up on a 3 year $24m deal.

With the Bears, Swift could be a great fantasy back. Even if Justin Fields is the QB and runs the ball, Swift will get far more touches near the goal-line than he did for the Eagles. The Bears offensive line has been improving too, so there are good signs for Swift here.

In this offense, with the volume he is likely to get, he should be a low-end RB1/ high-end RB2. In dynasty, a multi-year deal at his age, on what should be an improving offense, means he is retaining a lot of his value that he had. (Even if he is moving to an overall less effective offense).
