Derrick Henry Signs With Ravens - Fantasy Impact

The Ravens had a great regular season, ultimately losing to the Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game. With a number of their offensive pieces in place, they decided to bring in one of the better free agent running backs to round out their offense. Henry signed a two-year deal for $16m, giving the Ravens a massive upgrade over what they previously had.

There is no doubting that Henry didn’t hit the highs of previous seasons, and he is getting toward the end of his career. Infact, he is getting close to that drop-off age of 30 for RBs. Last season though, he was still the same violent runner he always had been. The Ravens backfield was productive last season, working as a committee, with Gus Edwards finding the endzone 13 times.

Henry in this offense is going to be selected as a high-end RB1, even with his limitations as a receiver, in this offense. Should be inline for a big season in a backfield, that in combination with Lamar Jackson’s rushing ability, will be giving defenders huge issues. For dynasty, think you need to sell early on the hype of this move. Henry has been destructive, but if ever there was a late sell-high point this is it.
