Diontae Johnson Traded To Panthers - Fantasy Impact

The Panthers offense was……sub-optimal (I’m trying to be nice) last season. Carolina really lacked pass-catchers last season, with veteran Adam Thielen being their main (only?) reliable option.

Johnson should step in as the WR1 for the Panthers. He should be missed by the Steelers, after putting in several seasons of solid receiving performances including a top-10 season in his third season. Last season was a struggle for the Steelers on the whole with inconsistent play, and that really is likely his floor here.

Carolina struggled with Bryce Young throwing the ball, as he only really had one target he could build chemistry with. Johnson gives him a good route runner who can create separation, a massive boost to him. Johnson is like a WR3 type with some upside if things click on offense. Think he should be a nice mid-round selection in redraft leagues. For dynasty, business as usual from last season.
