Gabe Davis Signs With Jaguars - Fantasy Impact

The Jaguars decided to part ways with Calvin Ridley this offseason, itself having a fantasy impact, replacing him with Gabe Davis.

Davis has shown flashes of brilliance in his time with Buffalo, but has struggled to be consistent. This signing feels like it is going to lead to more changes on offense. Davis isn’t the type of player that is going to lead a team in targets, so we should see a bump in targets for Christian Kirk and Evan Engram.

The fantasy impact here isn’t really all that much for any pieces. Davis will continue working as the WR2/3 in the offense, Engram/ Kirk maybe get a boost in targets, but can’t see too much movement. Travis Etienne maybe has a better blocking option on the outside. Overall, the offense should have more space as Davis takes the top off the secondary.

For redraft, Davis doesn’t really change in value- maybe a slight downgrade but not a huge amount. For dynasty, a 3-year deal with a young-ish QB should keep him in the league for a while yet, which helps him hold value.
