Scouting Report

Positives:

Trask is a fantastically accurate QB, and consistent at throwing passes that are catchable. Has a good ability to lead his receivers with his passes.

Able to read defenses pre-snap and make immediate adjustments after it. If the pocket collapses, he is able to escape and get away from pressure.

Negatives:

Suffers from a lack of arm talent, which can hurt him when he makes the right read, as the defense can recover. Can sometimes feel pressure that isn’t there which can lead to him making mistakes (either turnovers, or completing a play for fewer yards than he could).

Pre Draft Analysis

Expected Draft Capital:

2nd round pick

Landing Spots:

The rookie profile of Kyle Trask is that of a backup or longer-term project.

A team like Tampa Bay, where he can sit behind Tom Brady would be a good spot.
