Zach Wilson - QB - BYU
Welcome to the rookie profile for Zach Wilson. Wilson has been a starter for 3 years in college, culminating in his best season. In his final season, he ended with a great passing completion percentage and a great TD: INT ratio. Like the other top-tier talent this draft, Wilson is confident in extending plays with his legs. Ultimately, he is able to pass the ball confidently on the move or use his own ability to run the ball for positive plays.

Wilson stepped up in 2020 to be pushed into contention at the top of the NFL Draft. In his 2020 season, he was extremely accurate, and had the ability to extend the play with his legs as the play developed downfield.
Wilson has great footwork, and a great arm which enables him to connect passes deep downfield. His arm is also extremely accurate, with accuracy on any depth of pass he attempts. Able to place the ball where his receiver can make a play on the ball, either right on the sideline or in stride to make big plays.
Has great awareness, and able to feel the pocket. If he is forced to move, has great speed to out run first level defenders, and evade tackles
Wilson has suffered injury during his time at college, and hasn’t been tested in the way that other prospects have. Equally, Wilson has at times tried to force plays that he might not be as successful with at the next level
Pre Draft Analysis
Expected Draft Capital:
Round 1. (Pick 2? New York here we come)
At the moment, it seems that all signs are pointing to New York. The team have some solid pieces on the offensive line, as well as players that have shown ability to get free from defenders. In the right scheme, could be a great fantasy asset for years
