We’re deep into the season and streaming options are wearing thin, but there are still some players on your waivers that can help win your pivotal matchups. Here are my favorite streaming options for Week 12, in order of who I would start.
Week 12 QB Streaming Options
Baker Mayfield (TB) @ IND
ESPN 14%, Yahoo 17%, Sleeper 10%
Indianapolis has given up five top-8 finishes to quarterbacks so far this season, and this Tampa Bay offense has had plenty of explosive plays. I expect this game to be high-scoring underneath the dome at Lucas Oil Stadium, which should benefit Mayfield
Gardner Minshew (IND) v TB
ESPN 5%, Yahoo 4%, Sleeper 2%
Minshew has had his ups and downs as a streaming option, but this matchup against Tampa Bay should be very favorable. Tampa Bay has seen opposing QBs finish as top-6 fantasy options in 4 out of the last 6 weeks, and this Indianapolis offense has been surprisingly competent under first-year head coach Shane Steichen.
Would start if available: Josh Dobbs (MIN) v CHI
Week 12 RB Streaming Options
Tyjae Spears (TEN) v CAR
ESPN 63%, Yahoo 60%, Sleeper 50%
This game has the lowest over-under of the week, and I expect Tennessee to try and run the ball as much as possible against Carolina’s poor run defense. A good matchup combined with the expectation of rainy conditions at home on Sunday leads me to believe that Tyjae Spears can see double-digit touches these week while playing behind Derrick Henry.
Jerick McKinnon (KC) @ LV
ESPN 30%, Yahoo 30%, Sleeper 34%
The Chiefs have struggled in the redzone all season, and as each week passes their weapons on the outside have seemed less and less reliable. I think they’ll try and revert to using Jerick McKinnon as a passing threat in the redzone like they did often at the end of last year to get out of their funk. With sparse options on the waiver wire at this point in the season for running backs, hoping for a touchdown from McKinnon isn’t a bad option.
Would start if available: Devin Singletary v JAX
Week 12 WR Streaming Options
Rashid Shaheed (NO) @ ATL
ESPN 42%, Yahoo 44%, Sleeper 49%
With Michael Thomas headed to IR, we may finally see Shaheed in a full time role in New Orleans. He’s flashed often and had plenty of spike games throughout the first two years of his career, and I’m excited to see what he can do with more snaps. He and Derek Carr have shown great chemistry down the field so far this year.
Greg Dortch (ARI) v LAR
ESPN 2%, Yahoo 3%, Sleeper 5%
Michael Wilson was ruled out for this matchup vs the Rams and Marquise Brown missed practice on Thursday. This should mean that Dortch will have plenty of opportunities in an offense that has improved with the return of Kyler Murray. Dortch flashed last year and caught 6 passes a week ago in lieu of an injured receiving corps.
Khalil Shakir (BUF) @ PHI
ESPN 9%, Yahoo 10%, Sleeper 26%
Shakir had his best game as a pro with new offensive coordinator Joe Brady calling plays for Buffalo in Week 11. He caught an 81-yard touchdown and saw almost 75% of snaps while receiving 4 targets. Most noticeably, Gabe Davis wasn’t targeted in that Week 11 game. This could signify a difference in philosophy for the new offensive coordinator as he tries to get Khalil Shakir more involved.
Would start if available : Josh Downs (IND) v TB
Week 12 TE Streaming Options
Cade Otton (TB) @ IND
ESPN 22%, Yahoo 25%, Sleeper 35%
Otton had an endzone target slip out of his hands a week ago, leading to his second dud week in a row. I’m confident that he’ll bounce back here against an Indianapolis team that has been involved in a ton of shootouts so far this season.
Would start if available: Dalton Schultz (HOU) v JAX
